Reviews:
This place is a scam that took advantage of my wife. She chose this place for an oil change and when I got home she showed me they charged her $200!!. Unbelievable. The highest any place ever charges for an oil change for this type of car is $80, even at the dealership. To make it worse, they waited until after the work was complete to tell her the price. When I called they said, "she should have asked". Th... view moree guy ringing her up even said "that seems really high". You think? The owner got a message to call me and ignored it today, so here I am. Do not do business with these people.

Horrible
We took our van to the Powers Transmission branch on Nicholasville Rd in northern Jessamine county and they put in a used transmission. They assured us it was a transmission that was in good shape (it had less than a 90,000 miles on it) and even offered to recondition it with seals so it wouldn`t leak, and I agreed. They also told us they would go through it and check it out. We picked it up after hours, and after... view more I`d paid them $635, and the torque converter was slipping from the start! Plus it had a new exhaust leak, and the alignment was now horribly wrong. On moderate turns, the tires now screeched, and the steering pulled to the right now. Plus, they didn`t put the plastic undercarriage guard back on like they found it, and it ended up coming off in short order as well. Horrible. I definitely felt ripped off, and they wouldn`t warranty any of that work.
Plus, the $635 included $424 to just remove and put the transmission back in. I later learned that the excellent Lexington Transmission we took it to later charged us just over $500 to remove the transmission and put it back in, plus they put in a torque converter and clutch plates. Powers is robbing people blind! Would not recommend them even as a last resort. And we definitely didn`t even consider taking it back to them to resolve all the issues they stuck us with from the start - they lost my trust from day one. If they can`t deliver reasonable service for the money, how can I trust that they will return it correctly the second time? They left us without a vehicle for over two weeks and even after we got it back we had to go through that all over again because of their incompetence, sloppiness or downright dishonesty. It was very clear to us they didn`t have any care for our van at all.
