I have had many dealings with Young Motor company in Lyons and after the latest episode, I have decided that they will not receive any more of my business. Recently my father passed away and shortly after his death his truck quit working. My mother took his truck to the dealership to have it fixed. The truck needed a new starter according to Young Motor. $800 later the truck came home. It didn`t sound good and q... view moreuickly quick working again. Within the month. My mother took her truck down to the dealership again and this time it was a fuel pump...yet another chunk of change. My mother wanted them to hear that the truck was not sounding good. But they ignored the current issue from the first visit. My husband went to retrieve the truck as mom wasn`t going to spend another exorbitant expense. We took it to the other dealership in town who noticed that a piece was missing from the block that held the starter. It was broken. Torqued too tightly was the guess of the dealership. Where could that have happened.....Young Motor when they fixed it the first time. Mom went to talk to Mike Young and try to get some satisfaction from the ordeal as she had to pay someone else to fix his mechanics` mistake. Mike said it wasn`t his responsibility and it wasn`t his mechanics fault. She visited with him twice about the situation, but he didn`t budge. This isn`t the first time that he has been less than an honorable businessman. Beware...if this could happen to a fellow town member, a fellow church participant and a fellow businessman, this could happen to a complete stranger. Perhaps even family or friend.
