We sent a package to my husband?s family in Mexico. Company name and info: Camionetas Centauro 1423 E Central Ave Wichita, KS 67214 316-265-8000. This company insured the package for $130.00 the shipping fee $35.00 and guaranteed that it would arrive in 7 to 10 days. We sent the package on 12-16-2007. We asked before we sent it if this package would arrive by Christmas since it was gifts and was confirmed it would. T... view morehe bus was leaving that day. We waited and waited for it to arrive. After calling and visiting the company on a regular basis and got the run around. Ended up they sent the package to wrong city so we said ok it?s a mistake now please just get it there. Then we ended up having to send his family money to buy gifts so they would have something to open. There was another $50.00 dollars. Finally on the 7th 23 days later the package arrived. When his dad picked up the package it was securely typed so he signed for it and took it home for everyone to open. When the package was opened there were items missing. After calling the company the lady said there was nothing she could do, but yet she insured the package and guaranteed it would be there on time. We had explained how important this was since we had sent a package using the postal service and it was opened before and items were missing. She explained that the package travels on buses and is secure and we had nothing to worry about. I am upset about the money, but more that his family opened a gift and it was not all there. They even left the watch box, but with no watch. It?s getting to the point you can?t trust anyone and it?s not far to the consumer.
