Stay Away !!!!!!!

Given price for repairs and work started. Then lied more about supposed bumper damage to recoup increased cost than what was initially quoted for warranty work and other minor repair. Then secretary gave obscene gesture while holding folder checking me out while paying bill, stated they would b happy not to see me for a long time and new keyed scratch in repaired area all due to not paying for increased work . My Experience

I had rear-ended a vehicle on the fifth of June in 2010. The damage was very minor. The cop estimated the damage around $1,200. I received the quote of $5,200 from Ankeny Auto Body and was simply stunned. I gave them the ok because my insurance recommended them to me and said they work directly with the body shop. A week after I gave them the ok I wanted to get some stuff out of my car. I go in I told her my name and... view more she just let me walk back there, NO I.D. or anything. Ridiculous! I get a call saying my car would be done on the 23rd of June. I called and asked them when I could pick it up, they said well it will be done tomorrow (24th). I call on the 24th, ""well it will be done tomorrow (25th). I call on the 25th, ""well it will be done on Monday the 28th. AGAIN, I call them on the 28th, ""well it will be done tomorrow, I swear this is the last time I will say that to you."" My car is still in that shop as of today the 29th, it has been 24 days for MINOR damage. This place is insane!
