Things you should know before you replace your windshield:1. Your windshield is a federally mandated piece of safety equipment! Your windshield provides 70% of your protection in a rollover accident. It actually keeps the roof from crushing in on you!2. You windshield is part of your safety restraint system. The passenger side airbag is designed to deploy into the windshield before cushioning your passenger. If your windshield is not installed properly, your airbag is useless.3. There are varying qualities of glass. Some installers will quote you on used, blemished or cheap aftermarket or Safelite glass. We only use factory glass, manufactured by an Original Equipment Manufacturer.4. Even though your windshield is a federally mandated piece of safety equipment, there are no federal regulations on who can install a windshield. Anyone can install a windshield without training or certifications. 5. Price should not be your main concern with a windshield installation. In our industry, you get what you pay for! If your windshield is not primed properly or required steps are skipped, you may develop rust issues and leaking problems or the urethane may not cure.
