Trusting people at AutoWise

It is hard to find an honest mechanic in this city and I found just that at AutoWise. Joel was so hopeful to me from the day I brought my car in to the day I picked it up. Best engine shop in town

Wanted to say how grateful I am to AutoWise for my new engine. My car broke down right before the holiday season and it was a blessing that I found them. They let me make payments on my engine. Without that, my holiday would have been ruined. Really great people over there. Very pleased.

never, ever again! ever!

do not trust this slick trick with your car or your money! joel really is a smoothe talker. i had to go back three times so ""the guys"" could fix the engine the right way each time, never getting it done. with the cost of (non)repairs and a rental, i`m down $4000! and the oil is still evaporating! never, ever fixed the problem. just talked a lot. i still have to keep a quart of oil in the trunk just in case. ... view more do not give this jerk your money, your car or your time. it will all be wasted. just another slick mechanic with a different approach! idiot!

Engine rebuilt with no hassle

I had a great experience with AutoWise. I had to have my engine rebuilt in my Jeep and was dreading finding a place to work with me and my budget. The owner at autowise was a god sent. He let me make 3 payments to cover the balance and now my Jeep runs good as new. Have told all my friends and family about my awesome experience. Thanks again guys

Excellent service! A+++ Mechanics!

Took my car in with a blown motor and had an excellent experience with Auto Wise. From day 1 Joel kept me in the loop as to everything that had to be done and the cost. Dishonest Service & Faulty Parts

A blown engine in my `96 Mitsubishi Esclipse, after calling the dealer I was sure there was no way I could afford to fix it. The Tow company referred me to Auto Wise. The dealer had advised me against going to them but Joel was came across as sincere and honest while assuring to save me more than half of what anyone else would charge.

4 weeks later I get the car back and it seems to run ok at first but was lea... view moreking oil with an overloaded turbo and extreme lag in boost along with inconsistent oil pressure. I was told to complete the seating by driving moderately till I reached 1000 miles.

When that didn`t work I sent it back. This became the routine. I send it back, they keep it for a month or two and when I get it back, nothing seems any better.

After being stranded on the side of the road yet again, I finally took it into Aamco and they told me the same thing my dealership said - not to ever take any car to Auto Wise. I wish I had listened the first time. I had them run the numbers just to make sure that it was not my original block, I was shocked to find out that it was not but was even more surprised to find that the turbo that Joel had installed was faulty.

The Turbo casing had a hole in it that had been patched up with silicone adhesive. Which explains the lag in boost. After a new inlet pipe was installed and the turbo casing corrected I now have the pick up and smooth transition that I should have had years ago when I first made the mistake of going to Auto Wise.

As a non-mechanical female, it is always nerve wrecking to have to deal with Auto repairs, it`s even more difficult to know who to trust. Then to get taken in by someone so smooth and deceitful as Joel and his evil minions only adds to my unease when finding a new mechanic. How they have managed to stay in business after so many people have been jipped is beyond me. BUYER BEWARE!!!
