DONT BUT ANY CAR FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!
You cannot just take vw`s anywhere, I have had dozens of mechanics turn me away stating they do not touch vw`s. This is not good in Peoria, where there is only Autohaus. And let me describe my 5 years of torture.
Car has always had soft brakes and often you would hit the brakes and not stop. I would have to let off the pedal and reapply to stop! Took it in a half dozen ti... view moremes over 5 years and every time i heard "we couldnt get it to do it" or "everything is working correctly" Finally i was told it was the master cylinder, which i replaced myself. I then took it in to have the brakes bled. It did not resolve the problem and they said I needed a new master cylinder and brake booster totalling $1005. Then 3 hours later I get a call back that another technition looked at the car and said everything was ok. The car still has the worst brakes I have ever driven.
One time my wife went in to pick up our Jetta. She sat outside for 15 minutes waiting for them t pull the car up. Come to find out they hit her car with another customer car and was running it through the car wash to see what damage was caused. Lukily, they just broke the front license plate holder.
Took it in to have headliner replaced because there was a tear in it. When we picked it up, there was grease marks all over the brand new headliner and the sunglasses holder in the roof wouldnt operate properly because it was installed wrong and was bowing out. This could be seen easily and I have no idea how a "mechanic" would say it was done. The same trip they also broke a beaded necklace that was hanging from the rearview mirror.
The last bit is I take the car in and we are in a time crunch. We spoke to Tim the service manager because we have had so many problems. He said he would let us know if the part came in or not and would make sure the car got detailed. I called 1 hour before they said the car would be done and was told the part did not come in. Another failed promise: Can not even get it together enough to cal me and tell me the part never came in. So my wife went to the car because we neeced something out of it. Low and behold it was never detailed, so even if the part came in, the car would not even be detailed. Oh I should also say the detail was free because of another mess up from before. So what better way to handle a mess up, then another mess up?
So just as an added laugh. I asked Pete to have them save the old part for me. Guess what, they didnt do it and the technition threw it out, oh and the garbage somehow go collected in the 1 hour span. Surprise surprise, more failed promises.
I was told: We are trying to change the culture around here. Promised they would call me and tell me if the part came in and did not. Promised me a deail and did not. You cant take vw`s anywhere but here in Peoria. They cant fix the own cars they sell and on top of that, this thing breaks more often then any car i have ever had. Every time I take the car in there are probems, I always hear ` Ill have to see why that didnt get done, Ill have to check why that got broke, Ill have to check who checked the car off as done in that state" Bottom line, if you want an unreliable car, with poor service that cannot be serviced anywhere else, Autohaus is your placed.

horrible used cars and dont ever buy a used car from them. they will mess with the car were it passes saftey and you are the one who will pay the huge bill a day if not hours later !!!

Just for their customer service, I never thought buying a car would be so easy because the last few times I`ve bought a car it`s always been a hassle. When I came into this store with my sister and her baby the reception lady was very nice and even offered some juice! So thoughtful! Anyway, the salesman was accomodating and I found the perfectly red Passat and knew I just had to have it! But the problem was that ther... view moree was a huge scratch on the side panel like it brushed against a bush but as soon as I mentioned it they said they could fix it before i was done with finance, along with a free wash and FULL detailing service. I have never left so happy with such a gorgeous, clean car! Thank you Autohaus of Peoria!!!
