I own Douglas Automotive Repair Inc and am sorry you experienced some quality issues with our shop. I am a certified technician and have been for 35 years. We always use high quality parts in our repairs; through the years we?ˆ™ve been in business we?ˆ™ve found that it just doesn?ˆ™t pay to use lower quality parts unless it?ˆ™s a customer request to keep costs down. We did have a period where we were having employee quali... view morety issues, but have since resolved those. It?ˆ™s very unfortunate that it impacted some of our customers as we worked through it. Terrible. Cannot be trusted with simple repairs. No quality. Every time I`ve been here I`ve had to bring my car back for them to re-fix it. They should not be in business. Be prepared for your car to break down again after they "fix" it. Guaranteed!

Let me start by saying I`ve be...

Let me start by saying I`ve been a loyal customer of Doug`s for around ten years, even though it`s a little inconvenient for us to get there (they close at 5pm, have no weekend hours and are around 20-25 minutes away). With that said, his company`s latest repairs have really left me questioning his quality control. I brought my wife`s Jeep Grand Cherokee in because of a "coolant sensor bad" error mess... view moreage. After picking up the car, I noticed the error message was still flashing. Doug advised to just add more coolant. This didn`t help. Most recently, I heard front and rear end knocking on my Honda CRV. I was told the idler/anti sway? bars needed to be replaced. After picking up my car, the knocking was still there. I was then told that the knocking wasn`t a safety issue and that I could go without replacing any more parts. Well then, why was the idler/anti sway? bars replaced? I noticed NO change in performance AND the noise was still there. The same week, my low beams would not work. They replaced the switch linkage in my steering column. After getting my car back, the cruise control didn`t work. I was then told that they didn`t reconnect that cable when they initially changed out the linkage. At the same time, I told them my driver`s side door didn`t seem like it was shutting properly - I was hearing this "duh-duh", as if the hitch came out of alignment. The door just didn`t have that smooth and solid feeling like the passenger`s side did. After getting my car back, the noise and feeling were still there. Perhaps the same mechanic worked all the repairs?
