Things Have Changed

Todays Date is 6-25-2009 I have been a CASH paying customer of Dans in Oregon Illinois for the past 5-6 years now, maybe longer. They were always fair and honest with me in the past. However, my last repair was on a transmission and I was told they could get me one from a company called LKQ THAT WOULD HAVE A 6 MONTH 6000 MILE WARRANTY ON PARTS AND LABOR. Guess What.......The first tranny turned out to be no goo... view mored so supposedly a second one was installed. (This is what I was told but after getting the run around from both parties involved this is questionable)The second one was (SUPPOSEDLY)worse than the first. My car was not ever returned to me because Dan test drove the vehicle and it was popping out of gear. Dans claims the paper work from LKQ states that there is no warranty. That very well could be ,because I did not request a copy or ask to see the paperwork. I felt very comfortable taking there word for it as they have always been honest in the past. I never would have thought they would treat a customer this way. They admitted to remembering the fact that THEY told me it was covered by a 6 month/6000 mile warranty but yet are not willing to stand behind their word. I have given both parties (Dans and LKQ) several weeks to respond but all I get is....... I will have to get back to you and they do not respond. I am basically out $1000.00 dollars for NOTHING. If you choose to do any business with either of these, I would get everything in writing as...THINGS HAVE DEFINATELY CHANGED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave / Leaf River IL
