Can say I didn`t give them more than one chance. 1st, I didn`t buy my 1993 gl1500 from them but I talked with them about service from the day I road it home from southern Illinois. I let them do a 50,000 mile standard maintenance on it within 3 months of when I bought it( had 46 K on it when I rode it home) and got a rough estimate and gave them a no need to call if they kept it under an amount. They did all the ... view morequoted work and proceeds to give me a bill for almost the maximum to the penny of my okay while only replacing a clutch handle bushing and one pair of brake pads on 1 front brake.($200???). Well, 2nd chance, deal was free heated winter storage and battery maintenance with $350 in work over storage. Well new skins took care of that not to mention a basic oil and filter change to start spring fresh. Needless to say over $600 later with one concern a no fix and could not replicate on work order, I am on the road April 1st. I get to work the first ride out and look down and this is where I have my real beef. 3 bolts not tightened and one not even installed on left saddle bag( the bag removed to replace rear tire). My rear flair skirt is dragging on the ground and just bout fell off which I am sure would have cost. Couple hundred to replace and from that day forward lost ll desire to return to them. I will be following my past gut instinct and be making the ride to Lake Villa and Nielsen`s for the rest of my work. They have never let me down and are worth the extra 20 miles ride.

After reading the reviews I did hesitate a little, however people alway tend to only focus on the negative! I know that this place has been here for a long time and had to be doing something right.... While it is not the largest showroom, the selection is pretty decent. The major drawback is that they pretty much only sell Honda`s. Don`t get me wrong, I like Honda, in fact owned one for 12 years, but that does mean ... view morethe selection is restricted. On a side note, they do have a huge used bike inventory too, with other manufactures. It was the smoothest purchase ever. These guys are such professionals - they show you all about the bike, make your financing a breeze and go over all warranty information. They are not pushy at all and we would recommend Honda Northwest to everyone. It`s good to find people that care about you and not just the sale! I know that I will recommend them to all of my friends.

AVOID AVOID AVOID Honda Northw...
AVOID AVOID AVOID Honda Northwest! I bought a bike from them 3 weeks later the stator went on it. I took it back thinking they would help me considering I didn`t even make my first payment and had a major breakdown on my first road trip. Instead the GM JASON LIED AND STARTED SWEARING AT ME because he told me the reason it went is when I put a new battery in it was the right battery 14BS but had the wrong ports and th... view moree bike didn`t get a "proper connection" and that burned out my stator. When I put the new battery in it started right up and I was two hours on my way home stopped for gas and it wouldn`t start again. It died three times on my way home having to jump it off my cousins bike. and I talked to a number of certified mechanics even other Honda dealers and they ALL tell me he lied and is just trying to put blame on me so he doesn`t have to pay for it. Two ways to hook up a battery the wrong way and the right way if it wasn`t hooked up right my bike would of never started. They are cheats and only want your money as soon as you sign the paper and walk out the door you are as good as garbage to them. I wish I would of never bought from them and will tell every soul I know to run fast and far away from those scam artist cause even their corporate office won`t help you cause they are independently owned so you are on your own. I should of known better when their parts guys are the ones on the floor selling bikes as well. Very low class and unprofessional. CHRIS WAS THE SALESMAN/PARTS employee who sold me the broken junk and told me there was 0 wrong with it. I see Chris is usually the 5 star review on any site so don`t believe the good review from a employee take my advice a guy who actually got scammed by them and is not on their payroll!

First let me start by saying that I live over 4 hours away from Honda Northwest! I can`t tell you how pleased I was in the honest and fair way that I was treated. The bike was priced about the same as private parties so I figured that I would rather buy from a dealer. These guy bent over backwards to make sure I knew everything about this bike before I made the trip to see them, they emailed me about 20 pics. The bike ... view morewas described 100% perfectly accurate! When I arrived I was promptly greeted and they bike was brought outside so that I could walk around and give it a complete inspection. It was cold that morning so I passed on the test ride. The guys a the dealer loaded the bike on my trailer and even tied it down! I can tell you that I am a female rider with 10 years of riding and have never been treated this well before! I know that I will be recommending this dealer to all of my friends! Thanks Honda Northwest! P.S. Purchased a 2007 Honda VTX1300R Candy Red with $1000`s in extras! :)

These guys are GREAT!
Dave M.
Are you kidding me? These guys are the best! I have personally purchased 3 bikes there in the past 5 years and have referred dozens of my friends. I
never have heard anything negative about them at all. I know we are all entitled to our opinions ..that`s just my 2 cents! I had never taken the time to write a review before , but when I read yours I felt I need to speak out!

Perfect if you like being treated like garbage!!!
Uhhh yeah, don`t waste your time with this place, I went here last week to look at a motorcycle and it was a total waste of time, I stood in the show room for 20 minutes before the parts guy asked if I needed help, I asked him for a sales person and he said he was unloading bikes in back (weird place for the sales guys to be) I asked him to get the sales man for me and 10 minutes later I was introduced to him. the s... view moreales man who showed me the bike didn`t bother to introduce himself. we looked at the bike and it was in average condition minus the baseball sized dent in the tank and scratches and wear. I asked him how it ran and he said it wasn`t inspected yet, he said the bike was $1,800 but the price was $2500 out the door (part of the fee was an inspection fee, which even though was never performed he said he HAD TO CHARGE ME FOR) I asked him how much he would go down on the price and he said none... WHAT??? the guy said too me ""what do you want from me, this is an $1800 bike"" at which point I produced the print out from kelly blue book valuing the bike at $1600 in EXCELLENT condition and the trade in at $1,000 in EXCELLENT condition ( the bike was no where near excellent condition) this rude piece of garbage told me to ""go buy one for $1600 then"", `excuse me?` I said. The piece of garbage slime bucket sales-turd then said to me ""why would I sell it for less? I`ve seen these sell for $1800, i`ve only been doing this for 30 years"" Oh I see, you`ve been over charging people for bikes for over 30 years. this guy wouldn`t negotiate on a bike he probably paid less than $1000 for and when he saw I wasn`t interested in getting ripped off, he was super rude to me. do yourself a favor, don`t waste your time in this second rate shop that looks like it was built in old resale clothing store, give it enough time and this place will go out of business like banzai and chicago cycle did (weird how all the motorcycle shops that are ran by con artist go out of business). let me give you the pros and cons of this den of rip off artist`s known as honda northwest. pro`s: nice motorcycle ride from chicago with some nice scenery along rt 31 cons: EVERY SINGLE OTHER PART OF DEALING WITH THIS PLACE FROM THE TIME I ARRIVED UNTIL THE TIME I LEFT. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME UNLESS YOU ENJOY BEING MISTREATED AND RIPPED OFF!!!!
