called me a liar
I did not buy a car hear but had repairs, stole my $2000 stereo system, called me a lair and said it was never there and then defended the mechanic that I turned the subs up for IN THE SHOP, they knew! ... tread carefully

Lots of unkept promises/misleading
I bought a used vehicle from Lithia Boise with a salesman that was nice enough to work with except for the unusual amount of pressure and actual pleading to purchase the SUV (it was kind of sad). The dealership earned a 1 star rating (or worse) because we had the normal agreement that the vehicle had passed their used car inspection and it would be cleaned/detailed before handed over to me. When I went to pick up t... view morehe SUV the next day it was only cleaned on the outside and the driver/passenger area, I guess they thought I wouldn`t look and skipped the 2nd and 3rd row where there was actually gum stuck on a seat and somebody spilled pop in a cupholder - and to top it off the remote door unlock (FOB) was broken and they refused to replace it even though they had promised a working one prior to the deal. My fault for not getting that in writting - I`m guessing they found the cost of replacement was $150 and decided to ""forget"" that verbal agreement ever happened.
I`m typically not one for negative reviews but what really set me off was reviewing the used car inspection report and finding the mechanic determined new tire were required (by the dealerships tread depth specification) and they did not replace the tires. I have the inspection report actually showing a check mark that new tires are required and I`m looking down at the old tires with thin tread knowing I`ve been taken. So, when I went back into the dealership a third time (3 days in a row) I asked for the same people (my salesman and his boss) and was left standing on the sales floor for 20 minutes until I started asking random employees for help and actually nagging the receptionist. I was lied to my face and treated badly in person and especially on the phone, the typical line used on me was

Worst and Most Offensive Car Dealership
Lithia Ford of Boise was the worst and most offensive car dealership my husband and I have ever experienced in purchasing a new vehicle. By offensive, I mean obnoxious, abrasive and rude. Lithia had the 2011 Ford we wanted but after 60 minutes of high pressure sleazy sales tactics like scribbling numbers down so you couldn?ˆ™t make sense of them to telling us what a piece of crap our two year old trade-in was we had ... view moreenough and just wanted to leave. Upon leaving we were asked to come back inside by our initial salesperson, Justin, who was knowledgeable and very polite in showing us the vehicle. Instead of thanking us for coming in and considering the vehicle it turned into another sales manager behind the desk offering us an additional $1500 for our trade-in. When I told him we just wanted to go home and think about it and would come back the next day his face turned red in anger and he said ?ˆ?DON?ˆ™T BOTHER?ˆ?. I replied ?ˆ?you act like I?ˆ™ve insulted you?ˆ? (by not accepting his offer), he replied yes he was insulted and repeated ?ˆ?DON?ˆ™T BOTHER?ˆ? coming back tomorrow. When a dealership has to rely on high pressure sleazy sales tactics that directive comes from upper management and speaks for the entire company. We will never go to a Lithia dealership again.
The next day we continued our new Ford shopping with Dan Wiebold, and even though they did not have the exact vehicle we were looking for they were very polite and easy to work with.
Next stop was Meridian Ford where we purchased a 2011 Ford we wanted. They did not have the vehicle with the options on their lot so they picked up the phone and called other dealers and found exactly what we were looking for in Idaho Falls. They exceeded Lithia?ˆ™s offer on our trade-in which lowered the vehicle price and offered us the zero percent financing for 36 months which was a savings of almost $1200. We didn?ˆ™t get any offer of zero percent financing from Lithia and I would assume that is a Ford promotional program at every dealer. Our new Ford will be here in two days with a fair price that is lower than the Lithia price. We left Meridian Ford with a great buying experience. Try Meridian Ford, you won?ˆ™t experience high pressure sales and will leave feeling like you are a respected consumer and customer.

Unethical Practices
Beware of who you are dealing with. Lithia Ford of Boise is in my opinion an incredibly unethical car dealership. Here is my story:
I dealt with Randy Price (Sales Manager), Jordan Summers and Gary Hoesing. After going back and forth on negotiations for a few days regarding purchasing a $40K used truck, we came to very detailed and clear agreement over the phone. I was already loan approved by their lender, app... view morelication signed and credit checked etc, we agreed on the trade in price (they had already inspected it), the loan terms, the new vehicle price and the specific amount of the check I was bringing to the dealership and the amount of time I would need to be there to complete the transaction. I made an appointment with Randy and was called back by Jordan to confirm that appointment. WHILE ON MY WAY to the dealership Randy called to say he had sold the vehicle to someone else who just walked in.
I believe that the agreement was so clear and specific that it amounts to a verbal contract. Selling the vehicle while I am driving to pick it up is incredibly dishonest and unethical in my opinion.
This was the grand finale to the most incredible experience I have had with a car dealer. They used every trick in the sleazy used car handbook over the last few days. Buyer beware what you are getting into with this crew!
