So here is the deal. I have a warranty on my Honda. It`s an extended warranty. I pay the first 100 dollars of a covered expense. But, that`s not all! The Honda Dealer estimate, for repair for my 02 sensor would be $540.95. After I pay my $100 dollar deductible, this would look like a good deal. BUT, the warranty company I have says that it will only pay $60 bucks a hour for labor, (Honda charges $99.00) and they ... view morewill only pay 150.00 for the part!! This forces me to go to another shop and, forces me to buy a product other than what Honda recommends for their vehicles. In short, they want me to put an lower price inferior Autozone part on instead of an Honda part. Google it on the Internet and you will see plenty of unhappy "Bosch" 02 sensor owners. I drove to the used car dealer where I had bought my Honda, and purchased the extended warranty from and he phoned Walden Automotive while I was there. Then I drove to Walden Automotive right after that and talked with the owner about my dilemma. We made a appointment for the very next day and they replaced my 02 sensor with the correct Honda Denso part, and only charged the $60.00 an hour labor even though there rate is $72.00 The owner of the shop understood the situation I was in and has had plenty of dealings with this warranty company. I had to pay the Honda dealership 49.50 to tell me that the sensor was bad, and I had to pay the $100.00 deductible to the Walden shop. If I had to do it all over again, I would skip the Honda dealer altogether. I like the work that the dealership does, however, on this simple job they were way over priced. My warranty company is another story. Tired of arguing with them. If I just had the dealership take care of it all, I would have had to pay out of pocket about $385.00!! I had to wait 3 days for The Honda dealership to look at my car, and then give me the bad news. I had my car repaired the next day at Walden automotive. I am now a happy and very satisfied customer. I would recommend Walden Automotive to everyone.

Today was my 3rd time using Wa...

Today was my 3rd time using Walden for my automotive needs. They are fast and friendly and get the job done right. I went there to have them diagnose and fix an oil leak. It was fixed in no time and while I waited they even offered me donuts! This fix was for something I had gotten fixed maybe 3 months ago at another shop, where it took longer and cost more. And the part Walden took off to replace looked far inferior... view more to the one they put on so I`m confident it will stay fixed this time, just like my other 2 visits. I would definitely recommend Walden to anyone in Bloomington-Normal looking for a high value for the money fix to their vehicle.

Highly Recommend

I took my Saturn there after two separate diagnostics from ""other places"" in Bloomington did not match. They were extremely helpful. They even drove me back to class while they were checking my car. They are not afraid to say that they aren`t sure what it is, unlike the other places that were willing to guess that my car needed almost $3,000 of work done that may or may not fix the problem. These guys are awesome

I`m the kind of guy that won`t pay anyone to do anything. i figure if they can do it, so can i. Well i was working on my truck and got in over my head, needed tools i didn`t have and really didn`t want to do the job. it was noon on a friday and i called Walden. They said they were not that busy and could do the job that afternoon. i left right then and there and dropped the truck off. they called me a couple ho... view moreurs later and said it was ready to pickup. i paid over the phone and told them to lock the keys int he truck and i would pick it up later that evening. couldn`t have been happier. they are super nice and very affordable. they won`t charge you for things you don`t need. i will be taking every job i don`t want to do to them. i don`t mind a small dirty shop, that`s what a shop should be. You can have your nice waiting rooms at the dealerships, i prefer mechanics that know what they are doing. a mechanic with clean hands is no mechanic.
