Reviews:

I will not recommend this business to nobody, this place move from the original place just across the street from all one. 1. Sales person whom I contacted absolutely dishonest, lied about every step in the process to just start, one thing i noticed is he was speaking badly of his ex girlfriend and the place she just to live. Totally, rude. 2.All the personnel in the floor was uncaring, no one was available to answ... view moreer an honest question, and they invite me to come to buy a car but the hostess were just not in their mind. 3. The management in the first exihibition room one, tall, white and light eyes along with the others two was, racist, threatening couldn`t except the truth and obviously used to being prompt to use violence to solve disputes. 4. The same management people were looking down to social class, and did not respect me as a minority, single, Hispanic female. 5. I am sure that business is doom to failed south Evanston is one area for media-to working class and they the dealership lack respect for this kind, their superiority is clear. 6.They management has very little skill in conflict management an to a total peaceful comment just because was the truth the threat is" call the police". 7.They lied to me to make visit, with promises they couldn`t fulfill and then couldn`t stand to support the evidence that they promise a business deal and lied to the customer, them insult me and finally threat me. Ordering an african American women to show me where the train was, since I used large about $45 in taxi to make it there on time, and used up money that could of be invested better that in a group of liars. The white male, spit the order to the african american woman with such a command that I felt humiliated for her, obviously white superiority, she was the only good person there, but afraid of this disgusting man. Conclusion, the experience was an humiliating event, racism, lies, unprofessional behavior and the banks in the same building, a group of wealthy people that has not interest in helping the clients the people they promised to. This business will go wrong, soon and if the banks don`t help the economy of this country we can see, why banks are considered unflexible, rude and only for the rich. I`ll see your business closing the doors soon, too much of expensive cars, bad banks that can work with risk taking, and racist, rude can`t do attitude management safe paper and do not mail any more fake promises to customer, making waste their time and money, to see your rude charade and say "see we are better, more powerful and we don`t want to help you! Sneay cheeky liars
Don`t go unless you want to receive no appreciation, be lied to, have things about the car be told to you that aren`t true, or for that matter, safe! You`d just think that being sales, the sales people would be better than that since they are paid on commission.

dont Trust
well i called 3 times to make sure that car they were advertising was still there, drove an hour in a snow storm to purchase the car and when i got there surprise surpise it was not there anymore, they said it was sold last night. find that hard to believe since i called them before i left saying that it was still there and the guy is looking right at it. They then said the usual that they were sorry but lets try t... view moreo get you into a different car that cost more money of course. They even had the nerve to tell me that i would not have liked that car since it was in huge accident witch i also asked about on the phone and they claimed it had not. It all seemed like a ploy to get me to the store. wasted 4 hours. the GM then tells me that he is very sorry and to try to get me out of the store he said he would find me a similar car and call me back. its been 2 weeks and i called back to speak to him and he said he has not had time. i know that car salesman have a bad reputation but things like this is just a ploy to get you in

Hate their service and dishonest sellers and worst managers
I normally don`t do this type of review. But after they lied to me and make me drive from another city just thinking that I was going to get a good deal on a new Minivan I should warn people who is looking to buy a car from them.

After doing my internet search and narrowed a couple of option online. I decided to give them a call. A seller named Raul told me the price and the financial options available. Starti... view moreng to say that the car was brand new and they are offering low financing for it. So I descided to drive all the way to close the deal. Once I got there and looked at the car resulted it was a lonner with few thousand of miles on it and also they change the deal by telling me that they don`t offer low financing. And if I want to get the low financing I have to buy my points which will cost me few thousand dollars more. It was a waste of time. They don`t honor what they say, or the sellers are stupid and have no training at all. WASTE OF TIME> I will report them to BBB

Appalling Customer Service
This experience was so bad, that I decided to write my first review. I bought an `06 Audi A4 from the Mazda dealership. I am not an overly experienced car buyer, but feel that I do pretty good research. First issue - I was told by the sales guy that the extra key for the car was in the warehouse and would be sent later. After a week or so, I called and left a message asking the status. He left me a message in return ... view morestating that he did not find it and was unsure if there was one. He was going to check. I called a few times and never did hear back. Next issue - Within the first month of getting this car, I already needed new brakes. Keep in mind that during that time, I did not drive the car (since I was in another country). I called and spoke with the sales manager there. He agreed that it should not have gone out so soon and would ""split"" the cost of the brakes, since this is a normal wear item. I asked if they do inspections and they do. So why this wasn`t caught. It is up to them whether to replace the brakes or not, but they do meet Illinois min. safety requirements. I was not happy, but agreed to have the service manager call me for more details and make an appointment. I took the car to Audi and Midas. Knowing that I was going to go back to the dealership to get them fixed, they both laughed at it meeting the min. requirements and said that no car should have been sold with those brakes. I called and left two messages for the sales manager since no one called me back. After I reached him, he proceeded to tell me that this is my fault for not being a diligent consumer (thus in my opinion, agreeing that he sold this knowingly). Among the many other things he said to me, he refused to apologize or admit they did anything wrong. By law, he is correct. I asked why I couldn`t have been informed when purchasing the car at least. All I am to them is money. He even admitted that if ""splitting"" the cost was not going to make me happy, then why should he waste good money on me. I am in customer service and understand between doing what is best for the company and consumer. Since they sell x number of vehicles, I did not seem to matter as a customer, as the guy stated to me in not so many words. If I ever treated someone like he treated me, I would be fired. I know I sound angry. Well I am. In the end, I went somewhere else. I couldn`t trust that I was actually ""splitting"" the cost. I would rather pay the extra money and go somewhere else. I thought that buying a used car from an actual dealer was safe and I would get a quality vehicle. Whoever reads this, please look at other dealerships. I know I am just one customer, but I am still a person and deserve a lot more respect than what I received.

EXPENSIVE
i called the Mazda parts department for a part i needed for my 2004 Mazda 3 The price they gave me was almost 60 dollars more than the oak park Mazda dealer. The Autobarn of Evanston, is the ""Four Seasons"" of VW Dealerships - where the customer comes first
I love my car and am now on my third VW. Only this time rather than leasing, I purchased. After shopping elsewhere, I was introduced to The Autobarn of Evanston where I bought my 2007 Passat. While they offered me better pricing, it was not only price that set Autobarn apart from its competitors. It was the welcoming attitude from their service team that made a deeper impression on me and I now understand why.
... view more
I work for a luxury hotel brand where service and guest experience are never compromised. I share this with you because every time I visit Autobarn, I am greeted by someone who is happy to assist me and appreciative of my business. They have an energetic showroom without pomp and circumstance. The service department is efficient, clean, comfortable and welcoming unlike Fletcher Jones in Chicago, which is where I live and can be, at times, more convenient. Rather than telling you why you shouldn?t buy or lease from Fletcher Jones, I will share with you why I am a loyal customer of Autobarn.

At Autobarn of Evanston, I enjoy visiting the dealer. Within minutes of pulling into their service department, I am greeted and my car is checked in - it?s because Autobarn understands their customer and values my business. It is quite evident who works there, as they are easily recognizable and eager to assist. In addition, the showroom is the same. Their sales people are friendly, relaxed and ready to answer any questions without making you feel attacked or ready to ?be sold?. If you are looking for exceptional value and customer service, The Autobarn of Evanston, is the Four Seasons of VW Dealerships - where the customer comes first.

Whether you are buying or leasing a VW or need to have your car serviced or washed, I strongly encourage and recommend The Autobarn of Evanston. You will walk out with a big smile on your face and happy you chose them. I know I am.

Dishonest to say the least......
Autobarn Volkswagen engaged in what I believe to be fraudulent behavior when selling me a vehicle; 1. Altering credit information and submitting false information in order to obtain a sale; 2. Lying about the vehicle`s service history 3. Not providing the Certified paperwork that is required to be with a CPO Volkswagen 4. An owner who lies to his customer without hesitation 5. The owner will also in engage in ... view morecoercion if need be to settle a dishonest sale 6. Sales Manager Ryan Graham is dishonest in his sales practices 7. I have been contacted by multiple VW customers who have similar experiences I`d suggest Liberty Volkswagen...............check Autobarn Better Business Bureau record and compare it to Liberty, it`s night and day............ save yourself the hassles......... If you do get ripped off, make sure to contact the State of Illinois Attorney General. Take care.

Horrible customer service, long waits, lie to your face
After thinking everything was settled, I drove 5 hours to sit and wait for another 4 hours while they finally STARTED the paperwork. We agreed to a price over the phone, only to have them try to charge me $3k over that amount once the paperwork was finalized. The car was never cleaned, gassed, or anything of the like when they handed over the keys. Now I`m waiting to hear back from them about the way they screwed u... view morep my registration paperwork and the fact that I`ve been driving my car unregistered for almost 2 months! (They transferred a plate from my trade-in and somehow tried to register my new car in a different state!) All I can say is that they are a bunch of liars, thieves, and cheats. I thought only back-lot used car salesmen were supposed to act like this...not a supposed established dealership. I`m just glad I live nowhere near this place and will never, ever need to interact with them again...at least once they figure out how to correct the situation with my registration.

Worth the drive to Evanston to buy our new VW Passat
My husband and I recently bought a new VW Passat. We do a ton of research and after leaving Jennings VW we decided to go to the Autobarn VW in Evanston. Not only did we get an invoice deal on our new Passat, but we also received a free 5 year interior warranty, 3 years of paint protection, and a VIP Service membership. I have to say that they made the entire process very simple...just send them an email with your veh... view moreicle needs and tell them you already went to Jennings. The rest of the process is easy from there.
