DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GENERAL M...
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS GENERAL MOTORS DEALERSHIP!!! On May 19, 2012 I purchased a 2012 Chevy Cruze from Bommarito Chevrolet South, 6127 South Lindbergh, St. Louis, Missouri. The salesperson I bought the car from was Casey Laumbattus. In making the deal, I stressed that I did not want any out of pocket expenses, meaning and all expenses involved with us buying the car were to be included in the loan. We made the d... view moreeal, waited for the financing department to get the paperwork done. The finance manager came to me after a few minutes and asked us how we wanted to handle the sales tax. What? We told him that was to be included in the loan. With it being in excess of $600.00, we knew that was not going to happen so we ended up leaving that dealership and were off to the next one on my list, but now knowing that since we live in Illinois, that we would have to pay sales tax buying the car in Illinois. We weren?ˆ™t gone 5 minutes and we had called back the salesperson and told him we will just pay the sales tax and take the deal (as I HATE car shopping and just wanted to be done with it). So we signed the papers, we were told that we would be getting the paperwork in the mail to take to the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) in Illinois to pay the sales tax. It was due within 30 days after we bought the vehicle. So, I waited until almost until the last day that the sales tax was due to pay it, I called the local DMV and asked if they could tell me approximately how much the sales tax will be. They gave me an approximate figure, but then went into questions regarding my license plate and registration. We were both confused talking, I told them that the dealer that I bought the car from took the plates from my old vehicle that I traded in and put them on the new car. They told me that this was illegal. Still confused, I called another DMV, just to assure myself that the first DMV was right, they said the exact same thing, that this is illegal and if I would have been pulled over, it would have shown the vehicle registered to my old vehicle, not the new one. So the dealership chose not to do this transaction (or to mention the fact that if I get pulled over driving that it?ˆ™s illegal until I take care of this), therefore costing me another $120.00 at the DMV when I went to pay my sales tax. Imagine me not being very happy about this, especially since I made it clear at the dealership when we made the deal to buy the car that everything was to be included in the loan for the car. (except the sales tax). So I went to the DMV and took care of all of the expenses, afterwards I called the salesperson, Casey Laumbattus and asked why I had that added expense when I made it clear that all expenses were to be included in the loan (minus the sales tax) and that 2 DMV?ˆ™s told me that driving my new car when it?ˆ™s registered to my old car is illegal, his response was ?ˆ?we do that all the time?ˆ?. Hmmmm, maybe they do, but that doesn?ˆ™t make it right. So, having heard his response, I basically told him that we would never be back, meaning that we will NEVER buy another vehicle from that dealership again. When making the deal to buy the Chevy Cruze I was a little hesitant because from my home to this dealership, it is CONTINUED TO NEXT POST

Bommarito Mazda South was probably the
Bommarito Mazda South was probably the best choice I`ve made since moving to St. Louis. The staff here was amazing, and Sal was so accommodating and helpful throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend this dealership (and Mazdas in general, zoom zoom) to anyone looking to buy a new or used car.

Service was excruciatingly slow
I made an appointment to take my car in to have the light on the gear shift replaced. It wasn`t essential, but it was bothering me since it burned out. When I made the appointment I purposefully chose a time that would give me plenty of time to get my 10 month old daughter home for her nap. I arrived on time at 11:45 with my daughter in tow and waited in the service area. I told them I would just wait since i... view moret wasn`t expected to take very long. After 90 minutes and my daughter was getting restless I went to see if they were close to being done. When I learned that they had not even begun to change the bulb I was very upset but restrained. I said that if I had known it would take this long I wouldn`t have even bothered. I asked for my keys. I waited and waited and a half hour later a guy came up to me and asked if there was ever even a light on that panel of my car. It was so insulting, yes, there was a light on that panel. I`ve owned my car for 5 years and I know that there was a light on that panel. At this point they had taken apart a lot of the wires and it would no longer be easy to get my keys and leave. So I had to continue to wait. After another hour I was told they had ordered the lightbulb and they would get me out of there soon. My daughter was in melt down mode and I was trying everything to keep her happy so I wouldn`t disturb the other people waiting. There isn`t a whole lot you can do to soothe a 10 month old 2 hours past their nap time. 3 hours and 53 minutes after I arrived I finally was able to leave with the lightbulb fixed. They did let me know that in removing the panel they scratched a part and removed some paint but they would replace that at no cost and would let me know when that piece arrived. I don`t think it`s worth another 4 hours of my life.

2011 Camaro SS
The new car manager and sales representative, John Larson, at Bommarito South both did a great job! They offered the vehicle at a great price. The waiting area is comfortable and a great place to watch American Idol while they are working on your paperwork. Although they were pretty quick with the delivery - not much time to watch TV. Out of the many new vehicles that I have purchased, Bommarito representatives we... view morere the nicest I`ve worked with.

Bommarito South is conveniently located near Highways 55 and 270. I would highly recommend them to family and friends. I would definitely give Bommarito South a 5 Star rating!

Stay Far Away
I bought an Avalanche in August `08. Part of the purchase was the inclusion of a $500 ""GM Business Choice"" gift card because I`m a business owner and qualify. After three months the card hadn`t arrived. I called and talked to Bill McKeown the sales manager. Bill said he`d resubmit my info. After another three months. I called again because I figured out they still hadn`t submitted my VIN to the program. Afte... view morer several unreturned calls I got a call from Bill stating that I was supposed to register the vehicle in the company name, not mine. I told him that requirement wasn?ˆ™t in any of the paperwork. I kept pressing the issue. His boss, Mike Jordan, later said that I didn`t request it at the transaction because it wasn`t on any of their paperwork.
I took them to small claims court and won. Now they are refusing to send the amount of the award. I have to file a garnishment against their account at their bank.

False Advertisement
They did not honored the quote they gave it to me, and tried to sell me something else. They told me that they made mistake by giving that quote. Don`t trust their quote until you pay off your car financing/cash.
