Only way this place gets a good review
Only way this place gets a good review is when the owner writes it. Place is a rip off, if you have to go to them better you take your car to SOS for scrap metal. The owner is a big time lie. If I could have given it zero stars I would.

Great place
I have a 1993 Acura Vigor and the guys at Pacific Motor Works have been fixing my car for the past 6 years. They have been keeping ""old Vigor"" running like a champ this whole time. The other day I saw some oil leaking from under the engine and I was able to bring it right in with only about an hour`s notice. I am waiting for the quick diagnosis to fix my car so I can drive it again. I really like this car and P... view moreacific Motor Works for keeping it running so long.

Stay as far away as you can. ...
Stay as far away as you can. If they were the only shop on Maui sell your car. They are a complete RIP-OFF!

WORST MECHANIC SHOP EVER...
We took our Audi in for a noise problem coming from the engine... they told us it`ll only take a couple of weeks... FOUR MONTHS has past and we finally got our audi back... A rat has ate the Arm rest... Holes in the valve cover... not to mention he tacked on additional bills from the price we agreed upon... We had to sell our other car so we could get it back... Dont ever take your vehicle to these monkey`s....

Big mistake
What a joke, the worst place we have ever been on Maui, 25 years here. Full scams. Car went in for repair due to insurance claim. Maybe 2 weeks at most. Shop had car for a few months. Car came back with new dent. NEVER AGAIN, DO NOT GO THERE.

My Land Rover is There Now.
My car is there now. I took it there cause I wanted to try their shop out. My uncle was the service manager for a Land Rover Dealership for 27 years. Pacific Motorworks quoted whatever it would be for parts(it is always nightmarishly expensive to get parts from a mechanic). So I called my uncle and he found the parts for alot less. I called the shop and they agreed to put the parts on so the parts are being shipped a... view mores we speak.
I will call my uncle and see what the labour is for a Radiator, thermostat, and hose. And will report back here with my findings. But so far I could not be more impressed.
The diagnosed the vehicle the same day it was towed there. It was towed very late in the day there as well. So I was not expecting them to get to it. I am buying another Land Rover soon and if these guys pass the test with me and my uncle I will be back.
So far VERY IMPRESSED.

One of the Worst Decisions I Have Ever Made, and I`ve made a lot
I urge everyone who reads this review to understand I am an honest 23 year old mother, born and raised in Hawaii. I have never been so dissatisfied with a mechanic in my life. Pacific Motor Works in Kula has had my car for 20 days now. My family and I only have that one car! The place estimated we would have our car back in less than a week, but it`s far past that now. They have also since tacked on tons of $ to... view more the price we agreed upon. We will now end up paying half what our car is worth! Not to mention the inconvenience of having no car for 3 weeks. I chose this shop because they said the problem was simple, whereas Auto Tech in Wailuku said it could be much worse. I figured Auto Tech was trying to rip me off. It turned out to be the complete opposite. Pacific Motor Works totally underestimated the job. I should`ve gone to Auto Tech! Kudos to all of you who check reviews first. I wish I had.

Don`t be fooled!
I too want to warn people about this ""business"". I took my car there and not only was I overcharged (I looked up the prices of parts and labor on the repairs--better late than never), but they had my car for several days and returned it without fixing most of the problems that had been discovered. Get this: while they had my car, several (more than two) of my friends reported seeing my car being driven around t... view morehe island by ""two ladies"". They even took my car to the grocery store. Since I was so suspicious of their work, afterward I took the parts they returned to me to another mechanic who declared that they should never have been replaced. It`s no wonder the owner is so used to disgruntled customers. People don`t like being ripped off!

Setting the record straight!!!
My name is Paul Eisenberg and I own Pacific Motor Works, Inc in Kula, Maui, Hawaii. I have been to court twice in the past 5 years for auto repair related issues and I prevailed both times!! Auto repair is a business that causes alot of disgruntled clients due to the nature of the business. I repair over 1000 vehicles per year and only a handful are unhappy and write totally false and slanderous reviews!! Most people... view more on Maui know me and my business and bring their vehicles here for the very best and professional service available. Aloha!!!
PS. All the vehicles in my lot are client vehicles waiting for parts, insurance, etc. I also store alot of vehicles for clients for up to several years.
