Service complaint
I would like to complain regarding service I had at the Havoline X-Press Lube location at 1953, Howell Mill Rd, Atlanta, GA. I went there last month for a cold engine start issue. Technician diagnosed that issue was due to brakes malfunctioning and needing replacement. After changing the brakes which cost me $300, the cold engine start issue was still not fixed. I had to take the car again to another repair facility ... view more(Firestone) which identified the issue being with the Power steering system which was leaking and needed to be replaced. Issue was fixed after this repair. I called then Havoline Xpress Lube to let them know about the false diagnosis and they denied any wrong doing pretexting that I was the one asking for the brakes to be changed. This was very poor customer service and a really disappointing response from the team there. I definitely don`t recommend this location for any repair as they lack honesty and integrity.

What a shame...
Barry and I talked a few days before i came in for service...i needed an engine flush and to have my CEL reset afterwards. Barry was as nice as can be on the phone and when i came in, he greeted me (along with his staff), very nicely.
And then that stopped. They finished up the service ($150 for an upgraded oil change which i didnt really mind and an engine flush). Knowing a bit about cars, i knew that once thi... view mores was done and the CEL was reset, id need to drive a bit before getting emissions. Well, one of his techs walks in and says ""Your CEL is saying you have an EVAP problem, that has to do with your air filter and fuel system, we can do both, and we`ll knock some cash off..."" (about $100 more than i had already paid.
I declined the extra service saying i could do both myself...He told Barry who gave a sneer and just walked away. After i left i went home, and having no faith in their honesty, i reset the CEL myself by disconnecting the battery...i drove it about 100 miles over the next 2 days and went and passed my emissions without a hitch.
Why would you lie to your customer? Cause them more headache and try to take more money when their car is perfectly fine after the service they were happy to pay for initially? What a shame, i deff would not recommend them, and just laugh at the pitiful attempt to take advantage of someone who knew more than they thought.
I hope this helps others, this place is a joke.

RIP OFF
They pulled the same thing on me that i`ve seen in other reviews - showed me really dirty air filters and then offered to change them at a discounted price for cash. These guys are not honest.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS--Forced to bring suit in Fulton Co. Court for fraud
This was one of the most incredulous acts of blatant dishonesty I`ve ever encountered. Went in to have my brake pads changed in 9/05. Sat around for nearly five hours and was repeatedly assured the pads were on the way. When I complained for the third time, I was told the car was ready to go. Absurdly overpriced ($150).
Weeks later the brakes still squeaked. I asked them and they assured it was normal.
Fi... view morenally, three months afterwards I went to Just Brakes (who treated me like royalty, for far less money), where they removed the pads and were 110% positive they had never been changed--and I could see why. They were the original factory pads, worn to the metal and had born grooves into my discs. I returned to Xpress Lube and asked for a refund, and they were extremely rude and shady, some were snickering, others confrontational, and claimed they had no record of my vehicle in their system. I then produced the receipt (which they hadn`t expected) and no one would speak to me any further.
I was forced to file a complaint in Fulton Co. court (which Xpress Lube never answered), and now must go appear in the middle of the day so that I can collect default judgment against them. Don`t make the same mistake--avoid these incompetent, dishonest crooks like the plague.
