Buisness practice and parts SUCK, beware!

I ordered a reproduction console body for my `64 Falcon and recieved a piece that was thin, flimsy, and at nearly half the weight of the original. There were no mounting bosses for the 4 mounting screws, on thin dimples in the plastic were the screws go. No holes were made into the console, and the anchor for the return spring was not even there. The piece shined like patent leather shoes. I called to get a return au... view morethorization to send it back for refund. I was told that I could only recieve store credit, since they were ""only a small, family run business"". Problem is I don`t need anything else for my car, or want to buy anything else from this company. So, I will eat this one; $125 gone.

Like I said, Beware.

I`ve had nothing but outstanding service from them.

I`ve had excellent luck with Melvin`s. I`m restoring a 66 Mustang and they have had 100% success in stocking what i`ve needed. Their prices are good, but not rock-bottom. If I have time I typically order parts online but there have been a dozen times or so when I`ve needed a part ""today"" and they`ve never let me down. Beware

I would never ever go to Melvins Classic Ford again. They are complete jerks with horrible business practices. They would rather choose to enforce thier nickle and dime policies than to provide good customer service. There are to many other great options to getting parts than putting up with Melvins nonsense.
