Reviews:
Here is our story...We purchased a MINI Cooper from Northside Motors Inc. three days ago. It was represented to be in "excellent" condition, and to have been fully checked out by their mechanic. Less than one mile from leaving their business, the engine started misfiring. We drove to the nearest MINI dealership/service center where it was diagnosed with a $5000 engine issue that (according to the dealer) ha... view mored been present for a long time (i.e there`s no chance that the seller didn`t know about it). Patrick Gillis, the owner of Northside Motors Inc., refused to accept the car back, or share any of the costs of the repair, even though we had just left his office a few minutes earlier and could not possibly have damaged the car. There is no doubt that they committed fraud, and completely misrepresented the condition of the car. It turns out that the entire engine has to be replaced with a used one (the cheapest option), which we are doing through an independent MINI repair shop at a cost of at least $3745. This repair shop also said there was no possibility that the seller did not know about the issue. We have kept Northside Motors in the loop while we have been working on repairing the car. We have provided contact information from both repair shops that we have taken the car to (the original MINI Dealer that first diagnosed the issue, and the independent shop where we are having the work done), so that Northside can get the details on the repairs. We have offered to return the car for a refund, or to split the repair cost equally with Northside Motors. Both suggestions have been ignored, and phone calls and emails are being ignored.
