Great experience.

Great experience,for local business. I took my car in due to an exhaust leak.Gentleman at the front desk was very knowledgeable and professional. The price for the fix was fair. These guys was awesome,they even had a loner car for me to use,while the repairs were completed. Today was a good day,and yes I will recommend Andy`s our local neighborhood muffler shop.I just call it as i see it.

Loyal Customer!

Andy runs a good shop that does quality work. I have had custom exhaust systems built for 3 different trucks and each and every one of them has been great. One of them was installed 7 years ago and I have had no problems with it. The other was on a truck I sold and the last one was built for my current daily driver 3 years ago and I haven`t had any issues. The shop performs the work in a timely manner for how busy th... view moreey usually are. If you want major exhaust work done get there early because it`s first come first serve. I don`t get engine repair work done there because that isn`t what they specialize in so I can`t speak for these other people`s experiences. They are an exhaust shop so maybe if you want major engine repairs and maintenance you should go somewhere else. They do great exhaust work!

Be very, very careful

We took our van to Andy`s because our regular mechanic suspected that we had an exhaust problem, as the van was shifting hard and stubbling. We had already ruled out the transmission, and my mechanic said that the catalytic converter looked like it was excessively hot.
Since Andy`s had installed the converter two years earlier, it seemed logical to take the van back to have the exhaust system checked out. We dropp... view moreed it off on Monday morning, and by 4:30 that evening, hadn`t heard a word from them. I stopped by to check on things, and they said that they had found nothing BAD wrong with the exhaust, but had run a diagnostic check on it and found many problems. They said it needed a distributor, intake gaskets, thermostat, and catalytic converter. Total cost of repairs was well over $900.00.
I called my mechanic, and he said that there was no way that the van needed those repairs. I picked up the van, and was informed that I owed them $75.00 for the diagnosis, which I was never contacted about, nor authorized them to perform. I wouldn`t have done it if they had called me.
I took the van back to my mechanic, and after a little more investigating, discovered that it was a fuel pump that was acting erratic.
The problem is fixed, and the van is running great. Lesson learned- Don`t let a muffler shop do anything besides mufflers. It`s a good thing I listend to my instincts, otherwise I would have spent nearly a thousand dollars, and still had a problem.
I definitely won`t be going back to Andy`s.

No less than highway robbery!

We took a car there because the check engine light came on, they charged $472 to do heaven-knows-what. The light came back on the next day, we took it back, they got it turned off, only for it to come back on AGAIN the third day. This time when we took the car back they said the light would probably stay on and that it was o.k for it to do that. After taking $472 from me?!!! The only reason why I took the car there i... view moren the first place was to get to the source of the check engine light and get it tuned off, so when I asked what I was originally charged for if they couldn`t solve the problem, they stuttered and stammered about this and that, and started throwing about big mechanic words. The fact is I was totally duped because I am a woman, and those guys should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves!

pretty good

My experiences have been ok. They do perform things in a timely manner. I had to bring my car there twice to try to get my check engine light off, but despite fixing something both times (and both times claiming the light should stay off) the light remained on. So that disappointed me. Nice workers, though.
