Worst Experience Ever

My story starts back in August of 2010 when I took my car in to Aamco to have the transmission rebuilt. They took my money ($2,500) and assured me my car would be ready in about a week. Long story short, I got every excuse in the book as to why my car wasn`t ready each time I called (they were understaffed, they were waiting on parts, they drove the car and ""something popped"", etc., etc.). These people had my ca... view morer for almost EIGHT WEEKS before they finally declared it ""fixed"". When I picked it up, it wouldn`t shift gears, was surging and slipping, so I drove it to the Nissan dealership (should have gone there to begin with) and had them take a look. They made some adjustments and a few hours later I picked it up. It still wasn`t as good as new, but it was driveable. Fast forward to Feb. 2012. The transmission has gradually gotten worse and now is slipping badly and making whining noises. The Nissan dealership says the transmission is in need of replacement now and can go completely out at any time. Bottom line, is that if I had taken it to the dealer to begin with, I would have spent about the same money, would have gotten a much better warranty, had my car back when it was promised and would still be driving it. If you take your car to Aamco you will be wasting your money and your time. Buyer beware.
