Back in his humble office, there is a yellowed decoupage plaque of a 1984 newspaper article featuring the (then) young Major who was featured for his work ethic, his honesty, and his tenacity to help people fairly with their car problems. I liked Mr. Callaway`s approach and decided to get my tranny exchanged with a used one by him. We had a scare that the used tranny for this difficult model was no good. But after a day of researching and diagnosing why the new one didn`t shift properly, he found that electrical contacts needed to be cleaned and some Volkswagen-specific "flash" had to be applied. Now it works great! His price was fair--no, more than fair--as he bent over backwards to get my older wagen back on the road. I`m a very happy camper.

My experience with Callaway transmission. I own a Dodge and I felt there is strange noise coming from the transmission, it was very stressful and as a student I was scare because I knew it is going to cost me so much. Callaway overhauled the transi...

Callaway overhauled the transimission on my 2002 ford taraus, which was completely trashed. He did the job at a fair price, completed on time, guaranteed his work and the transmission has worked fine for three months now. He also fixed a problem with the security system which prevented the engine from starting at no charge. I plane to use Callaway for all of my future auto repairs.

My 2005 Ford Expedition transmission was slipping badly. Mr. Callaway came highly recommended. I was told Mr. Callaway had been in business over 37 yrs, had a straight talk demeanor and was a man of integrity. I called Mr. Callaway and he told me to come right down. He told me I most likely needed a rebuilt transmission because Ford had made design changes on my transmission type. I had a price in mind and from earlier quotes and shared them with Mr. Callaway. He flat out told me anyone doing it that cheap would do an inferior job. I liked what I heard so I paid him upfront and he completed the job in just 2 days. I picked up my vehicle and there was a studder. I took it back and he fixed it without any hesitation. It even cost him an add`tl $469 in parts. A man of his word!!!
