Very Good Experience
We just purchased a 2002 Jeep with 110,000 miles from a private owner. He was very upfront with us that he took the vechicle to AAMCO and they told him he needed a complete transmission rebuild for $1,800. I took the vechicle to United Transmission and after an extensive inspection they concluded that there are no issues with the transmission. I felt this was the case also since after purchasing it have driven abo... view moreut 500 miles with no apparent problems with shifting but I wanted to be absolutely sure since this is our son`s first vechcile and we want it to be safe. The owner ""Joe"" did not charge me anything even after his mechanic ""Dave"" spent almost an hour driving it and testing the onboard computer for any trouble codes. I have to say that this may have been one of the best experiences I have had with an automotive mechanic shop. We heard many good things about Joe and United but this was surely proof for us. We now feel very comfortable with the vechicle purchase. Thank You Joe, Dave and United Transmission. Happy Holidays...

please Atlanta DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE!
My family and I have a combined history in Atlanta that dates back over 100 years. This transmission shop has been one of the biggest problems we have ever dealt with here.
We simply wanted our family car repaired. We have spent over 3,000 dollars and countless hours dealing with this shop and the car is still unreliable.
Do not go here, if you want a test of what it will be like to do business ther... view moree, call Joe the owner and ask him a series of logical questions about cars and transmissions. He is old and will avoid answering them at all cost.
Wish that we could give Joe less than 1 STAR!

BAD serive, overcharged, SEXIST!
This was the worst experience I`ve ever had. I read reviews on here and that`s why i went to united, but they must have written them themselves. Joe was extremely sexist and refused to even talk to me about anything happening with my car, he would ONLY talk to my husband. What year are we living in again!? I was quoted more than double the price of other shops after my car was there over a week. When we decided to ... view morepass and take our some where else he lowered the price to what was more acceptable. The repairs took longer than we were told and the customer service was lacking to say the least. It`s also very hard to find and the shop is a dirty wreck.

ABSOLUTELY ""HONEST"" and Capable
First of all, TRANSMISSIONS are expensive, so prepare yourself.
United has been there for YEARS and YEARS, and have consistently given great, dependable service.
If they tell you something, that`s the way it is. GREAT FOLKs, GREAT SERVICE, DEPENDABLE.
