My experience with Kauffman Ti...
My experience with Kauffman Tire was awful, I had 3 defective tires that needed to be warrantied out and replaced. I was given a $20 discount on two new tires which was not a drop in the bucket. I appreciate the $20 while I was waiting on my vehicle to be repaired; the sales person took my car for a test drive that lasted approximately 28 minutes. During this test drive, I soon find out that the contents of my glov... view moree box had been dropped on my floor board. There was nothing on my floor board when I handed the keys to the sales person. After the tires were put on, another test drive was taken only lasting 15 minutes, remember I was I never asked nor offered to ride during the test drive. After paying $200 and almost an hour and 45 minutes of waiting, I discovered my glove box contents all on the floor board and my prescription eye glasses were severely damaged. I found them in the back of the glove box in between the dash and the hinges. I immediately called the Kauffman tire location that was responsible, and spoke to the sales manager. I was told I would have no problem bringing the glasses in, and they (Kauffmann?) will find some frames that match your glasses and we will replace them. I told the manager, I would email pictures of the glasses, so I did. After the manager saw the pictures, he forwarded the pictures to (Trip, gen. manager). Trip decided that Kauffman could not help me the glasses. His phone call was very rude and unprofessional. He said they were too damaged, if you can imagine. Yes, they are unrepairable but not irreplaceable. I stated they were in perfect condition when I arrived at Kauffman and my floor board empty,"your employee broke them as he dug through my glove box on his almost 30 minute test drive." Originally Kauffman had agreed they would be responsible for replacing the glasses but upon seeing the pictures, another employee change his mind. So now, not only have I been lied to about the repair of my glasses, now I am being told that this didn`t happen while my car was in Kaufffman tires possession. I indirectly take this action as being called a liar. So now, my tires that were only 6months old and only gave me a $20.00 discount on $200+ tires. The warranty on the tires still cost me over $200 plus a pair of prescription glasses that cost over $250 that are completely broken and cannot be used. This chalks up the day at almost $470 out of my pocket to replace 3 defective tires. Not to mention how rude the manager was, and how non helpful he was, and pretty much calling me a liar! So bottom line, I wouldn?ˆ™t refer anyone to Kauffman Tire until they hire employees that are professional and can be somewhat responsible for there negligence and inexcusable actions. The tires were not even 6 months old and the warranty stinks!! If that?ˆ™s what you get after 6months of tire usage, I am most disappointed with the way I was treated and the way my personal belongings were treated. This place is a joke. Wal-Mart would have been the better place to go. I feel violated in the sense my personal belongings were picked through, and then broken. I never got to speak with anyone at the Corporate Office with any seniority and I have been without my glasses now for 3 weeks!! I can?ˆ™t afford to go buy another pair of glasses at this time!!! THANKS KAUFFFMAN TIRE!!!!!!!!
