BUYWER BEWARE!

I purchased a new vehicle here in 2008. I was asked if I`d like to purchase the extended warranty which I did. In my opinion, they implied it was an extension of the Toyota bumper to bumper warranty. My initial factory warranty just ran out. I had an issue and took the car in for service. I was told by their service department that they had sold me a third party warranty and that it wouldn`t cover the car. ... view moreThis was not made clear; they implied the extended warranty to be an extension of the Toyota factory warranty. Not a third party warranty I could`ve bought later directly most probably for less. I paid $1400 for this third party extended warranty three years ahead of time that doesn`t even cover the car. It has now covered the car for 6 weeks since the factory warranty expired. I inquired about cancelling it and they informed I would receive a refund of only $500. Learn from my mistake.
