Only picked one star because it wouldn`t let me choose zero. Our experience here could not have been much worse.
Our purchase started off smoothly as Skip agreed to deliver the vehicle to us (in the Orlando area) and we were quite impressed. However upon an independent inspection, we found that the vehicle had been in an accident and still had major problems. According to the service tech at the Ford dealership, ... view morethings had been tampered with in such a way that it was actually illegal to sell the vehicle in its current condition.
After much discussion, West Coast finally agreed to get the work done to get the vehicle saleable and give us a one-year warranty (that`s the shorter, kinder version of that story!) However, when the work was finally done, they took back their offer to deliver it. We were told that if we didn`t drive the two hours to pick it up that night (and it was already well into the evening) that they would not hold it for us and would be relisting it for a much higher price since they had spent money fixing it.
We drove to get it and there were no incidents for a few months. However, this past week we experienced some additional mechanical problems and called to see how to use the warranty. Skip told us that we didn`t actually have a warranty; they snuck it out of the paperwork the night we came to pick up the car and we had overlooked it.
The "used car salesman" stereotype is unfortunately well deserved thanks to places like West Coast Car & Truck Sales. My recommendation would be to run (or drive if you already have anything that passes for a car) far, far away.
