Awesome shop

I was recommended by aaa to take my car to national auto on 49 th street for my car over heating I was towed there from another shop that had told me I needed a head gasket. I wanted a second opinion.the mechanic there Sam. Found that it was simply a bad thermostat.saving me lots of money.i found everyone there to be very helpfull.they even gave me a ride to work and picked me up when the car was finished.all in all ... view morethey went out of their way to make my experience with them to be quite pleasant.i would recommend if you want a good reliable shop to go this is it.

My vehicle was towed in to thi...

My vehicle was towed in to this shop on the recommendation of AAA. After having this shop remove and replace a right outer tie rod end and right sway link to the tune of $328.28, I picked up my vehicle and had no further problems until I tried to replace the front brake pads. Having a friend do this for me I was informed that my friend could not remove the passenger side front wheel. This was the same wheel that the... view more mechanic at National Auto pulled to do my initial repairs. The reason that my friend could not remove the wheel is that the lug nuts were installed so tight ( impact wrench) that three grown men all together could not loosen them. They even bent the lug wrench they were using to try and remove the lug nuts. I called a week later and Bill the shop manager told me to bring my vehicle back in and they would take care of it...No problem. Well, when I took it back the mechanic came out with his air impact tool and attempted to loosen the lug nuts but the first one he tried to use the wrong size socket and even stated " It might help if I use the right size". Then, the mechanic returned with the right size but then proceeded to hammer the socket over the first lug nut and then went about loosening this one and the rest. On, my second attempt at having the passenger side wheel removed, I found out that the one lug was stripped and could not be removed, hence once again...no brake replacement. I again called on Monday 7/92012 and again Bill told me to bring my vehicle over. I did so around 12:30-1:00 pm and went into the shop to remind Bill what I was there for. He had the SAME mechanic come out and again hammer a socket over the lug nut in question. Only this time he made a little snide comment " I did this last time so WE didn`t do it!" I feel there was no reason for this comment as he was the one who messed up my lug nuts in the first place! There was nothing wrong with my lug nuts prior to this shop doing the initial repair work. If the mechanic had installed the lug nuts properly the first time, then I wouldn`t have complained!...Final Opinion...LOSE THE ATTITUDE DUDE AND DO THE WORK PROPERLY THE FIRST TIME!!!

i was referred to national by AAA. national fixed my car right the first time and the same day. they beat the price of all the other shops in the area by $150.00 for the same repairs. you guys have a customer for life!!!

Brought my car in for a Head G...

Brought my car in for a Head Gasket job. They did a great job, came in under price from what Dealership was going to charge. Car ran fine for 3 months. Service engine light can on and took it in they diagnosed it needed Tune Up. Quoted price of over $400, freaked me out so took the car to old reliable mechanic paid $230. Car started having idle problems and call about changing out Idle Speed control motor. They want... view moreed $230 for part alone and $85 for labor, bought part at part store for $42 bucks. Old machanic changed it out for free. Ended up having another shop in Seminole look at car and found the Themostat was never put back in after head gasket job. Would have cause me lots of problems down the road. Can`t prove anything, may have been an oversite. But charging me 5 times for a part is totally outrageous. My advise be warned and do your homework before having repair....Sorry Bill you won`t see me again.

I brought my 2003 Hyundai in for service. The check engine light on, and technician diagnosed a misfire. Changed the spark plugs and now car is running great!

AAA recommended this shop to m...

AAA recommended this shop to me. the check engine light was on and it was running really bad. they replace the spark plug wires and did a fuel induction cleaning on my car. not only did they fix it right the first time, i now get better gas mileage. these guys are great!!!!!
