Very disappointed

Very disappointed with Bowtie Auto. I own a 2002 Ford Taurus. It had a bad water pump. I took it to Bowtie. They did something wrong, because after driving away, I began to hear a loud noise under hood. Left car running, looked under hood, saw that the ""new"" water pump was vibrating strangely, and tearing apart my belt. Should`ve checked the reviews first, BEWARE!

Had lots of problems with Bowtie Automotive. Mainly, that they were more concerned to sell me ""extras"" rather than working on what needed to be done. As I sat in the waiting room, I overheard the mechanics recommend both tires and batteries to every single person who brought their car in. These are the quickest turnaround, easiest to install, and give auto shops the most profit. CROOKS! I then checked them out on the internet and confirmed my suspicions. Take your car some place else!

Take your car somewhere else!!

I have been in the auto industry for the past 20 years, and have never ever come across a shop that was so downright dishonest. I had some work that needed to be done, and I knew ahead of time what the problems were. I didn`t tell them that, just to see what advice they would give. Not only did they diagnose it incorrectly, but they tried to sell me things that I personally just had replaced, like a new battery, a... view moreir filter, and more. Check around, check reviews/ratings before taking your car to ANY mechanic. If I didnt know what I was doing, I could`ve spent over $1000 at this place, when all I needed was $200 in repairs.

Bad service

Had my car 6 hours and they did not work on it when my ride droped my off they said they could not get it, if they had called I would not have had to bother my friend for a ride. Then I went on the Internet and seen what has happened to others. I now take my vehicle to Geenes auto in longwood. They do what they say they do and charge a fair price and it`s done right

ASE Mechanic - Upfront Honest and Great Pricing

I went to Bowtie on a referral to get my 35 year Corvette worked on. Everyone wanted to charge me a ton of money for a tune up and brake job just because it was an ""Ole Corvette"".

I have been sending friends and family there for a NO B.S. Assessment on what your car needs and doesn`t need for over 5 years!

Warning: ""F"" rating

I know of two people, myself and one coworker, who took their cars to BowTie Automotive, and both of us experienced problems with the repair parts almost immediately. Another mechanic said that the part/s used were used, rather than new, and were not installed correctly. Won`t be going there again!

Third time maybe

I took my impala in for an intake gasket reseal,fix the gas tank fuel pump pick-up. It took two tries on the intake before I gave up on them fixung it. While it was in their custody, they claim the resistor ignition went out, so I had them replace the ignition Switch. Bow-tie messed up the Ignition install as the wiring was damaged and the "brain" thought the key was in the ignition after the key was removed. Rather ... view morethan fix the steering column Bow-Tie had damaged, They removed the warning buzzer not knowing the buzzer contolled the interior lights. A mechanic that damages a car and tries to hide the damage without knowing what removing other parts will affect testifies to what an idiot he is. Bow-Tie is a shade-tree mechanic that does not understand computer-controlled(fuel-injected) cars or their sub-assemblies. I am an Army trained mechanic that knows his limits, but I can sure tell a smoke-screen by an incompetent. I gave up taking my car back so he could try again and took it elsewhere. I have a GM service manual for my car and can diagnosis it, I just don`t have the facilities to do the work properly. I presented myself as a regular customer and he tried to take me for what he thought I could afford to lose. They may be good with old hot-rod carb cars, but not with anything made since1980.
