Kings Transmission?ˆ™s Owner Benji is by far the most down to earth honest Business Owner/mechanic you will ever come across in your lifetime. I have worked on my own vehicles since I have been in high school (Family members as well) mainly because I don?ˆ™t trust a majority of mechanics. I can?ˆ™t tell you how many times I?ˆ™ve been told I needed extra things done to my vehicle knowing full well that is not the case. Well i... view moren September 2011 I had a very severe accident and my right wrist was destroyed and needed to be fused. Pretty much ending my hobby of repairing my own vehicles, leading me to call around when my 2005 GMC Envoy transmission stopped shifting into 3rd gear. I called several places before taking my Envoy to Benji. As soon as I got off the phone with him I knew this was a guy I would be comfortable doing business with. That was solidified when I left him the keys to my truck and we spoke at length in person. I?ˆ™m here to tell you that you will not find the kind of service King?ˆ™s Transmission provides to his clientele at a 95+% of the places in the Pinellas County. Not only is his pricing among the best in town but the warranty he provides on his work is nothing to balk at. I compare it to finding a hole in the wall ?ˆ?Gem?ˆ? restaurant, yet this shop is anything but a hole. It?ˆ™s quite nice with several bays, and can service more than 2-3 vehicles at a time on a secure lot so can be sure you won?ˆ™t have to worry about your vehicle being broken into. When I dropped my vehicle off to Kings it was done within a week. He did an amazing job on my truck and it literally drives like the day it did after I drove it off the lot new. I honest to god could not be any more satisfied with the work done by ?ˆ?all the Kings men?ˆ?. Very rarely have I been to a place where they don?ˆ™t take the customer as an idiot when it comes to auto mechanics, Even more so if you?ˆ™re a woman (I am not). I never once got that impression with kings. He took the time to explain every single thing that was wrong, why it went bad, and what it would take to resolve the matter without digging deep into your pocket. Not only did he save every single part he removed from my transmission so I could see the damage the damage with my own eyes, but he even took the time to come with me on a test drive and wasn?ˆ™t going to let me leave until I was 100% satisfied with the work. These are traits you rarely find in any business, not only in this industry but in this day and age regardless. Rarely will an owner be readily available to talk to you personally. I don?ˆ™t care what you?ˆ™ve read online to this point, I?ˆ™ve done all the same reading you have, Listen to my advice and take your car to Kings Transmission. You will not leave disappointed or feeling like you?ˆ™ve been taken advantage of. I can even guarantee that you will be taking your car back to this man for every repair on your vehicle. I?ˆ™ve taken the time out of my day to write this lengthy review for the benefit of every one of you reading these things because it?ˆ™s hard to find quality reviews online. Most usually say they were please, or the work was good, etc.. I only give reviews to companies that I feel deserve them and this gentleman and his crew deserve as much business as they can handle. There?ˆ™s not much more I can say to persuade you to try them if you?ˆ™re in need of repairs as I feel I?ˆ™ve said enough to give anyone the confidence they will need in this facility. I just hope you?ˆ™ve done your research on EVERY place you?ˆ™re considering and if they don?ˆ™t have raving reviews then perhaps there?ˆ™s a reason no one has taken the time to write praise on that particular company. Great work deserves to be rewarded and this is the best I can do for a company who did such a wonderful job at a very reasonable price.
