In November I purchased car, Sales guy was fine no issues, Off to the finance dept, this is where all the troubles began, I felt like I was steam rolled on,, pushing every thing on me sometimes not even really telling me very much. That was bad enough Itraded car in they had to fed ex paperwork to be signed it took them aprox 10 business days to send this, When I asked the General managers assistant told me it was ou... view moret fault it took so long. Really I have copy of when it was sent. Then the finance guy who I later found out was the Manager, who could not even do his work always needed help from others. Lies and cheats so full of it I can`t believe it . The worse part is they can`t even accept responsibility for anything they did wrong it took them over a month to pay of trade in, also sent payment to the wrong address, Really how hard is that for a big dealership to do their job right. Now i received a 25 bill for the checked the had to stop payment on cause they don`t know how to do there job right. I agree with othr posts here go else where for financing, Actually I would say do some homework and get some refferals cause Coggins Toyota really SUCKS go anywhere else.. There Service center is great I have not ever had any issues with them! Sales guy was great too just there finance guy and General manager assistant really need to learn how to do there job, unless screwing people over, is there job....

Coggin Toyota service plans are a scam

I bought a new 2010 Toyota Prius from Coggin Toyota along with a service/maintenance plan. The plan was for 5yrs/60K miles. I was sent a coupon book for oil changes and tire rotations for every 5,000 miles. When using the coupon(s) I was informed by the service representative that they made a mistake and the only would only be changed every 10,000 miles because it used synthetic oil. They would not correct the co... view moreupon book, nor would they honor the coupons for any oil change. I then found out that they had written in the contract price and never checked any box indicating the 5yr/60K plan. When I brought this to their attention a representative (Chauncey) basically said ""too bad"" and hung up on me. I calculate that an oil change cost me $170 each time I had it done. I have purchased several Toyotas previously and will never return to this dealer under the current circumstances, nor will I recommend this dealer to my friends who also drive Toyotas.

Beware!

I reciently bought a used 2004 car from these guys. They ""inspected"" it and told me it passed everything. They told me if I wasn`t satisfied they would take the car back. The sales people were very reassuring and worked very hard to gain my trust. They sugar coated everything and it seemed like I was getting a great deal, until I actually took the car home. Within hours the words ""MALFUNCTION"" poped up on my dash... view moreboard. I brought it in to be checked by the mechanic. They told me the car was fine and there was no problems. They did a little cleanning and said they charged my battery. A week later, the battery died! I took it to a real repair shop and they said the alternater wasn`t working. Now I need to spend nearly $600 to repair my ""inspected"" car. When I tried to talk to a manager at Cogin he said ""its your problem"". I`ll never deal with these snakes again!

Never looked under the hood!

Three weeks after the well-advertised 19-point inspection at Coggin Toyota, my car failed to operate due to an extr4emely corroded battery and engine compartment surrounding it. There`s no way anybody looked under the hood, even though they say they dod that and more. They apologize for the ""inconvenience,"" but it`s really a trust issue. They don`t do what they say they do. Watch out!

DO NOT come to Coggin!!!

My friend,

This is a true recommendation from someone who suffered GREATLY!

-People are really nice in Coggins, but be very careful...
-We were given discounts that do not exist and the special rate offered by the manufacturer... was denied by the dealership. (and... we only found that out after discovering that the finance guy has ""secretly"" worked the hidden payment into our loan)
-One would... view more lower their expectations when it comes to car dealership. The financial department is the most DISHONEST I have seen... Even if you insist on buying a car here (which I do not recommend)... get a loan somewhere else!
-The customer service or customer recovery department is not very helpful AT ALL
-We ended up bringing the loan to another bank, pay more interest just so that these wicked people will not get a penny out of us!
-Highly recommended AGAINST this dealership if you don`t want any troubles that can haunt you for weeks!
