Stay away! I called this shop and talked with a person who said his name was `Chris`. I asked if he could give me a quote for work on my vehicle. He said he could. I described year, make, model and what needed to be done. He said he would work up a quote and we agreed I would call back for the estimate. When I called back he said the repair would cost $200. I asked what would be least busy day to bring in; Tuesd... view moreay or Thursday he replied. I called Tuesday of the following week to make sure the work would be completed that same day. I asked to speak with Chris. Was told by `Steve` that Chris was off today. I then told Steve that Chris had given me a quote last week of $200 for work on my vehicle. Steve said Chris was not allowed to give quotes over the phone; that i must bring the vehicle in for a written quote. I drove to the Grease Monkey shop. When i got there i asked for Steve. Then told him i had brought the vehicle for a written quote and described what needed to be done. Another employee standing next to Steve said to me "We gave you a quote over the phone last week." I replied that I had called earlier today and that Steve said I should come in for a written estimate because telephone quotes were prohibited. The two of them conferred in a low voice. Then Steve, even though he had not provided a written quote nor gone over to my vehicle to look at the area where work would be done, said "It`ll cost $200". Then i said `"Listen, you guys have wasted my time. You give me a quote over the phone. Then you say I need to come over for a written estimate, then you tell me the same price without writing out an estimate. To hell with you!" At which point Steve says "F--k You! Nothing else, no apology, no explanation of why the runaround. I got in my vehicle and left. I suggest you stay away from Grease Monkey. If there is no respect or courtesy offered a potential customer why would you trust this place to do a proper job on your vehicle?

I`d say you go there best frie...

I`d say you go there best friend .. or at least give them a call to give you an estimate....I always got the most reasonable and lowest price from them knowing what the parts would cost me if I attempted the labor myself ....very experienced and knowledgeable and TRUSTWORTHY HONEST mechanics....situation: I suspected after having a fuel pump installed about 8 months ago from them that it went out again after only 8 ... view moremonths...I hear they are mostly made in China now.....I had it installed at Grease Monkey....but of course I couldn`t be ABSOLUTELY sure it was the fuel pump going out on me again....so I just had to trust Grease Monkey and take it back to them....they could have been dishonest and bs me and told me "no the fuel pump is okay"...now its the carbuerator...or some relay in the fuel system or anything including leaks and then tell me it will cost another $500 for this or that....but they said "yes you are right it is the fuel pump again and is under warranty and replace at no cost to you"....WHAT????.....NO COST???...NOTHING???....jaw dropped....couldn`t believe it....I have gone to repair shops all my life if I cannot fix or decide I dont want to fix it myself and have done many repairs myself including dropping engines in my younger days....but I am almost 60 and its getting a little old getting this old body under hot cars in hotter Florida...this is the first time in my life a repair shop was honest enuf to replace something they installed and replace it with NO PART COST AND NO LABOR COST.....TOTALLY NO CHARGE!!....they could have told me 5 believable technical things that it could be and I wouldn`t have much choice but to believe them unless I decided to get all grease monkeyed myself ....but they were honest and replaced the fuel pump costing me nothing...not a dime....now THAT is honest... this is actually the first time I ever trusted a car repair shop to go back to.....ALSO their prices were far lower to begin with than 5 other repair shops I checked into....this is no bs....and no I dont work there....
