Based upon FloridaCars2001 wri...
Based upon FloridaCars2001 write-up on eBay and their response to me on my phone call to them, I purchased a 2001 Cadillac. It turned out to be an ESC instead of an ETC. The manager "Barry" told me that I would be extremely happy with the car and that there were no issues associated with the car, and he said this after I was the confirmed high bidder. The truck driver told me he had to fight for over 2 hour... view mores to get the title so that he could deliver the car to me. When the truck got to my house, there wasn`t enough gas in the car to start it. We poured 2 gallons into it, and pumped the pedal numerous times and it finally started. The driver backed it off the truck and handed me the keys. $325. delivery charge. My first glance made me want to cry. It appeared as if someone had painted the car with a brush. I pulled the car into my yard and started to go over it to see if it had any issues. The dash was completely beyond repair being broken in numerous pieces. The windshield posts were both pulled apart from the framing as if the car had been broken into. The headliner was ripped in multiple places. The sunvisors were both broken. The gasket on the sunroof was ripped and had chunks out of it. the glove box was ruined when it was forced open. the driveer seat was torn in two places. the console was all cracked. there was mud throughout the car as if it was sunken in a mud pit. The hood insert was broken. All four wheels were corroded so bad that they need replacement, $1850.00 each. The truck release didn`t work. The plastic covers in the engine compartment were all missing except one. There was no air filter and the box was filled with mud. The oil dipstick was in pieces. As I already owned an Eldorado, I checked the oil with my dipstick, and found that the level didn`t even register. It took 2 1/2 quarts to fill it. The radiator reservoir was empty and it took over a gallon to fill it. As soon as it was full, the water began to leak out on the side of the radiator. I tried to drive the car, but the driver`s front wheel cylinder was seized up and sounded as if it was full of rocks. $263.00 to replace. I then had to replace the radiator $378.00. I haven`t replaced the rims yet because I have a Used Auto Parts Yard looking for a set. The motor automatically shuts off when the motor reached 2,500 RPM`s. I drove the car to the DMV to register it, a total of 33 miles, and it took 1 1/2 quarts of oil to fill it back up. I have an estimate to repair the motor of $6,750.00. The whole undercarriage of the car is saturated with an oil and mud combination. I paid $7,954.55 to FloridaCars2001 for the car. They wouldn`t accept payment through PayPal nor Cashier`s Check making me to have the money wired to their account for an additional 15.00 The mechanic and I have come to a conclusion that I will have invested approximately $22,500.00 before I have all the repairs completed.
I think this has to be the worst experience I have ever had buying a car. I don`t see how the people at FloridaCars2001 can sleep at night, knowing that they have put the screws to people each time they sell a car. I have entered a plea to eBay to have their selling privileges revoked, and subsequently have learned that they have received numerous requests.
I wish that everybody could read my review and that of "Ace_1234, before they make the grave mistake of buying a car from ForidaCars2001 located in Hollywood, FL. I will survive my ordeal, but it will be awhile before my bank account is back to normal as I am 100 percent disabled and over 65 which means no retirement. Thank you FloridaCars2001, for the lemon you squeezed me into.
