First experience with S&S. Had a bald boat trailer tire. Their price was good compared to other shops. Took me right in, and was done in 20 minutes. Staff was really friendly, and courteous. I will go there again.

Not for Everyone.

S & S Tire has been around for a long time and I am sure its business was built with the long haul truckers who do not need or want a boutique styled shop. Its just more commericial and industrial themed. I have had old cars and they are willing to work on them where some shops just don`t know how. I think they try to do their best and I trust them. I have looked and tried other places, but I keep coming back.... view more As far as attitude goes, I think they are just so busy trying to keep up with the number of customes they have, they don`t have alot of time for chit-chat. SS DISCOUNT TIRE

AFTER VISITING OTHR PLACES ALONG THE 27, I WENT BACK TO SS DISCOUNT TIRE AND MAKE THE DEAL THEIR TO FIX MY CAR SINCE THEY CERTAINLY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THEIR ATTENTION WAS EXCELLENT. I END UP SAVING OVER $200,00 OF MY TOTAL BILL FOR ENGINE MOUNTS, NEW SHOCKS AND FIXING THE FRONT AXLE

Not so great attitudes. Not so great prices.

I went to this place before I ended up going to another place and getting my car worked on. I went in with the initial problem that my car was smoking from under the hood, the gentleman at this business told me my car had ATF fluid in the oil and that if I drove my car any farther it was going to cause the motor to seize up because the fluid in my motor was yellow and not the color of oil. (Great Theory) They quoted me a price to look over the car and check a few things and the price was ridiculous and I knew it was not ATF fluid in my car because I had changed the oil myself the last oil change. Regardless I took my car down off Polk City road the guy`s over there found the real problem was that my oil pump was leaking and the oil was burning on the motor, it was leaking very little as the gasket had just began leaking not a cheap fix but after again checking around this businesses price was ridiculous and when I called to tell them what was really wrong with my car they acted insulted that I got a second opinion. This place made me sick to my stomach and I won`t be going back.

My water hose was leaking so I...

My water hose was leaking so I took my van for it to be fixed. After waiting forever one of the workers tried to say that my power stearing hose was leaking slighty and that I should keep an eye on it. Needless to say that they broke the hose which they did end up fixing it.I will not go back again due to all the problems and days that they kept my van. They did do good work though no problems with what they did fix.
