I took my 2001 Toyota Sienna to Honest Engine in December, 2010. I took it back two more times after that because it continued to have a problem, and altogether, Craig had it for almost a month. When I finally got it back, and after paying $931, it still wasn?ˆ™t working right. It finally died again, but this time I took it to another, very reputable shop with Toyota certified mechanics. This is what I found out: Hones... view moret Engine did not reattach the ground wires. I?ˆ™m lucky it didn?ˆ™t burn out my car?ˆ™s computer. In addition, the spark plugs that Craig from Honest Engine insisted I needed (even though I told him I had just had them replaced several months before) were wrong and causing the ignition coils to misfire. Craig had replaced my 120K iridium plugs with only 50K on them with platinum plugs that don?ˆ™t work in this car. I called a Toyota service manager at Autoway who confirmed they don`t work in this car. They also weren`t screwed in properly. Craig had also replaced all six ignition coils plus two VVT valves. My new certified Toyota mechanic said it`s rare for one VVT valve to go bad, let alone two. As for the new ignition coils, three of the six coils installed by Honest Engine have now failed. The first failed coil was replaced by Honest Engine during one of my return trips. I asked Craig at the time why it failed and he blamed it on "cheap Chinese parts." Since then, two more have failed. So far I`ve spent over $600 to fix work done by Honest Engine including new spark plugs (again) and two ignition coils. It`s now obvious that much of the work I paid Honest Engine to do was either wrong, unnecessary, or the parts used are so cheap, they`re failing. I went to Honest Engine to talk to Craig. He was very nasty and walked out of the room. I called him the next day and he hung up on me. Do yourself a favor....stay far, far away from Honest Engine. Just check out their Internet reviews and their F rating from the BBB. People who have filed complaints with the BBB say Honest Engine damaged their cars while repairing them. Craig never even responded. Need I say more?
