I called and ordered four tires on
I called and ordered four tires on Tuesday. Called back on Thursday to confirm for Friday install. I was told they ordered the wrong size, but would have correct tires Friday AM. I show up Friday to find out they had failed to sumbit the tire order. The overall attitude was ""Oh well"". No offer to make it right- These guys just don`t care about your business. Complete idiocy. Go elsewhere- other companies actually a... view moreppreciate your patronage.

BEWARE! Poor business practice and customer service. I had lost tire pressure and needed to replace both front tires asap. Went to Ol` City T. They had to special order tires for my Honda. I did not have the time to wait nor could I have driven the car. They talked me into purchasing 2 used tires. Employee:"They are almost BRAND NEW!" lol. I drove off the lot with my new used tires. After about 3 miles ... view morethe low tire pressure light came on. I went back immediately. They said I had a TINY hole in one of the rears. They "plugged" it. I paid. I drove away and a few miles later the low pressure light was back on. I took it back and they said I damaged the tire and showed me a small bulge in one of the used front tires they had sold to me. They put on another used (almost new) tire and charged me for all three visits.....I had no choice since I needed the car. I would have been the first to admit that I scraped a curve, etc, etc. I did not touch a thing.....I was pretty contained but very upset when I left. I guess they lost a customer forever and I will not recommend them to anyone.

Beware.....
I had lost tire pressure and needed to replace both front tires asap. Went to Ol` City T. They had to special order tires for my Honda. I did not have the time to wait 5 hours nor could I have driven the car. They talked me into purchasing 2 used tires. Employee:""They are almost BRAND NEW!"" lol. They ""plugged"" it. I paid. I drove away and a few miles later the low pressure light was back on. I took it back and they said I damaged one of the front tires and showed me a small bulge and a small cut in the side wall of the tire. They put on another used (almost new) tire and charged me for all three visits.....I had no choice since I needed the car. I would have been the first to admit that I scraped a curb, etc, etc. and would not have minded paying at all. I did not touch a thing.....I was pretty contained but very upset when I left. I guess they lost a customer forever and I would not recommend them to anyone. Very poor business practice.....Update: 12.15.2011 Low pressure light came back on today. Took the car to my Honda Dealership. Pin hole in the side of my right front almost new, used tire.....REALLY? I had the dealership put on 2 new front tires. This should be the end of this ordeal.

Not happy with Old City Tire
Paid $674 for a set of tires for my grey Scion XD. Not a bad deal. The wait was not bad and the tires work well. My problem is that my low tire pressure light comes on AFTER the new tires were installed. Checking the tires and correcting the pressure to MRS. Light still on and using the reset button did not work so I called Old City Tire and explained. The Manager told me that the tech working on my tire told him the... view morere was a broken sensor that was epoxied. Therefore they were not responsible. Funny thing is I was in the waiting room the whole time. Don`t you think they would show me the customer this to show it was not their fault? Nope. Yea I did not believe him either. This company used to be good 20 years ago. My dad taught Auto Mechanics here and the Owner was one of his students.Sadly I can not recommend them. Do NOT go here. You have been warned.

I have dealt with Old City Tir...
I have dealt with Old City Tire for over 20 years and before today have always been treated in a professional manner. Today I encountered the "Tire God", Richard Taylor. I was informed by the "Tire God" that I had flat spotted my three month old tires they had installed with my 4 wheel anti-lock brakes. I informed him this did not happen and it infuriated the "Tire God&... view moreamp;quot;. He said the only thing he could do is put two new tires on at my cost. I said there had to be another reason for the tires being out of round. I was informed it was my fault and I should stop locking up my brakes. I went to the Goodyear store as these were Goodyear tires and told them what happened. They asked me if Richard had become senile. Upon their inspection of my vehicle I was informed the tires were not flat spotted but they were cupped. The cupping was caused due to ball joints and struts being worn out. If I had purchased the two new front tires from the "Tire God", the same problem would have come back in two to three months. I will never frequent this establishment again if Richard Taylor continues to be the Manager. I feel sorry for the fine people who work under him.

converted
This business was recommended to me by the wife of a very good mechanic. He said they were honest, priced fairly and very ethical. I have been buying tires here for 6 years now and have sent countless friends and family as well. No complaints, great service & well worth any minor wait you would expect to have.
