FERRARI FORT LAUDERDALE: I have bought 5 cars this year and written great reviews for every dealer, so it is important to note that this is my first negative review about a dealership. I emailed the dealership regarding a 2010 Ferrari California. Asking price $230,000. I received a response from Benn Correale, and asked him what`s his best price for a straight cash deal. Benn said $215000; I told him the most I w... view moreould pay s $210000, so to let me know if he can meet my price. A week later he said he talked to his manager and can sell it to me for $210000. At this point I was looking into a similar car, so I told him I would get back to him. The next day Benn emailed me saying the car had sold; my loss. 2 weeks later I noticed the same Ferrari California was still listed for sale, so I called Ferrari Fort Lauderdale and was directed to John Levy. John said the last deal fell through and I can buy the car. So I gave him my father`s information (I arrange the deals and my dad sends the money, because he doesn`t have time to negotiate), assuming we were buying the car for $210000. The next day my dad forwards me an email from John indicating the bill of sale, and asks me to verify it before he sends the money. The price listed is $212000. Confused why it is now $2000 more than what I was quoted a couple weeks before (for the same car!), I called John. John said $212000 is his lowest price, so I told him that his dealership previously told me $210000. He said he would not sell it for $210000, so I told him to refund my credit card deposit and I do not want to buy the car. John Levy immediately emails my father saying "Well, it did not take very long for the predictable to happen. Carter snapped at me and said "Well, then we don`t want the car." I responded "all right`." John also said that he no longer wants to deal with me, only my father. What did I do wrong in this situation? What John said in his email was a total lie. I was very polite and calm, and simply said, I`ll pay the $210000 I was quoted, but no more. Long story short, my father and I will under no circumstances buy this car or any car from Ferrari Fort Lauderdale. They can lower the price another $10000 and we still will not buy it! Benn Correale was very nice, but John Levy is an idiot. Don`t waste your time with these guys, they are too much of a hassle to do a $200000+ cash deal with. With so many of every Ferrari model available on http://Autotrader.com, it is very easy to find a genuine, honest dealership.
