DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!!!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF. I was in a desperate time - my car broke down on my way to Florida Avenue to check out cars. I met a very "nice" lady named Mary at N&D. I saw a car in my price range and spoke with her about it. I had walked on the lot and was frazzled because my car had just broken down. My mistake - I let that slip. What did I get for my honesty? RIPPED OFF!... view more I was desperate but I did try to do my due diligence. I checked out a couple of other lots, but in the end I returned to N&D because I THOUGHT I was getting a fair buy. Not a good buy but a fair one. I was wrong. I took the car for a test drive and I relied on a Carfax report. I asked her if they do Carfax and she said no, but I was welcome to run it myself. She had the mechanic bringing the car around until I asked for the VIN to run the Carfax. Then she ran out yelling something in Spanish. I thought I was going to find an accident, but I didn`t. The car WAS however in an accident. According to the law, they should have told me that and they didn`t. I paid book value, NOT ONE PENNY LESS, for a car that isn`t worth a quarter of what I paid for it. And if you want to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe THEY didn`t know - the http://autocheck.com report I got from Carmax indicates that my vehicle was purchased at auction by N&D - WITH FRAME DAMAGE. I will be filing complaints with the appropriate government agencies and I`ve already consulted an attorney about suing them. I had my first problem with the car before I made it to the light on the corner! No lie, I drove off the lot and the check engine light came on and it only got worse from there. They act like they are doing you a favor when they offer to "fix" the car at your cost for parts with mechanics who apparently have NO IDEA what they are doing. I had my car towed there for a repair because I had no acceleration. They had it for a week and told me it was nothing major - it just needed a tune up. I didn`t make it 1/2 a mile before the car was doing EXACTLY what I had it towed there for. This whole experience has been a disaster for me. You can buy a car here, but I certainly wouldn`t advise it. FYI they have moved to 8440 North Florida Avenue and are doing business as Unique Motors of Tampa.
