Tech Master Destroyed my engine!
After seeing my oil light flicker a couple of times, I decided to call Tech Master since they were open and it was Saturday. I spoke to Dennis whom is the manager at the Saint Petersburg location. I discribed what i was seeing happen on my 2006 Jeep Liberty that had only 45,000 miles on it and asked if it maybe was the oil pump. Dennis told me ""at 45,000 miles, it wasn`t likely and it may be a sending unit or p... view morelugged screens"". I drove my car to the Tech Master St. Petersburg Florida location, although it didn`t flicker once and ran as usual during the ride there, to let them take a look at it and for a diagnosis. After i got to the location, he proceeded to look up the price of a new pan gasket (which was quoated for a diesel ""By mistake""... he later told me) Which was $400.00 just to look at the pump... then, he said ""It`s probably the screens and we have a solvent that is heated at 145 degrees F. and with an oil change it would cost $176.50"" I trusted his judgement and returned home for an hour and a half when i received a phone call from him. He said.... ""Uhhh your car is ready but the mechanic thinks it`s the oil pump"". I asked if they did an oil pressure test and he replied ""No, we don`t have a gauge to do it with"" I asked why did they think it was the pump and he replied ""Because the flush made it worse"". I immeadiately went to the location and was met by Dennis and a mechanic that did the ""flush"" and i was told that it now was making valve and lifter noise and that the engine was going to cease at any minute"" and that it would have to be towed home!! I paid them $176.00 and started my car and was able to go 2 blocks with no compression at all before my Jeep stalled and locked up. The engine was ceased and my Jeep had to be towed to my house. I called Dennis at Tech Master shortly after and told him what had occurred and asked for the Main Office phone number and was met with resistance immeadiately in giving me the phone number. After informing him that i would get it from the internet if he didn`t give it to me, he rattled of the number at an auctioneers speed and then proceeded to tell me ""what could he do to help."" I told him that i would discuss it with the corperate office when he hung up on me. I called the phone number that he gave me and it is a recording machine. No one has returned my call from that number yet! The end result is that last night, I had to purchase a new vehicle since my 2006 Jeep engine had ceased AFTER going to Tech Master for a check out and repair!! My Jeep is undrivable and I was unable to even use it as a trade in .... and I am now stuck with a Jeep with 45,000 miles that became CEASED after going to Tech Master ... that i am still paying on!! I owe $7,000 and a year left on the note and had to BUY another car THAT DAY so i could continue on with life ... and now I have another car note!! These people are the worst in the industry and i believe that their incompentence is astonishing!! The charged me $176.50 to cease my engine and ruin my car!!!

This is the worst shop in the ...
This is the worst shop in the world! Do not ever go to this shop! I was told three different prices for a simple repair! I never recieved a written estimate as requested! The manager told me lies after lies! I guess he thought I was a lame! Nope not me!And they wonder why we go to shade trees.

Faulty Repairs--Be Careful Here
Took my vehicle in for a pretty simple repair that was $500.00. Two weeks after repair the issue returned. They refused to correct the problem or refund the money. I have since had it repaired cheaper at another shop and have not had any problems. I will be taking them to small claims to get my money back for faulty repair.
