Good, honest, mechanics

These guys are great. They know their stuff and are very fair with pricing. I had them put in a neutral safety switch on my audi a4 and the only charged me half what other shops were asking and had me in and out in an hour. I had also been to their shop for other issues and they weree always couteous and would hook the computer up to my car and explain to me the codes it was reading and what my options were FOR FREE.... view more I don`t know the deal with the other reviewer, but Steve is a very nice and honest guy,, there`s something else going on with his story.........

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP

I paid over $2,000 for my transmission to be rebuilt at downtown transmission and they NEVER fixed the problem! I had to bring it back to them over 7 times because they took all my money and it was in warranty for a year. Through that year I had to bring it back at least 5, when the warranty ran out they charged me another $600 to fix the same problem they never fixed in the first place. After they "fixed" it again I... view more had a one money warranty and had to bring it back in less than a month. They "fixed" it again and it didn`t even last one month last time. They tried to charged me another $2,000 14 months later so I just took my car elsewhere. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER BIG TIME. As you can see I am not the only person that has had problems here and I do plan on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau....

Amazing!!

Beware of this company. The owner, offered to buy my car for $1500. Getting the title took several months because the bank that is now out of business did not release the original lien. When the paperwork was finally completed and submitted for transfer, I found out that Downtown Transmission had already transferred the title claiming the vehicle was abandoned on their property and now refuses to pay for the car. It ... view moreseems that in Florida if you leave a car at a repair shop for more than 30 days they can claim it`s abandoned and take possession. I was in constant contact with the owner and he assured me it was OK to leave the car on the property until I get the title. I called the police, but they say it`s a civil matter and I need to file a lawsuit. Amazing!!!

Beware of doing business with this company

The owner, offered to buy my car for $1500. Transferring the title took several months because the original loan (and lien)was with a bank no longer in existence. When the paperwork was finally completed we found that they had already transferred the title claiming the vehicle was abondoned on their property and now refusses to pay for the car.
