Rick Johnson Auto and Tire provides fair and a trustworthy service. His staff have years of experience and truly care about their customers needs. Rick Johnson Tire - Caring about the customer

This letter is to commend Mgr Marcos Romeu, his staff, Bryan Sheen and the mechanics. I arrived in Florida around the 1st of Jan from my home up North. I had been gone from Florida about 1 an 1/2 months. The first time i had my car back out on the Interstate, I noticed a very severe vibration at 70mph in both the front and the rear. I had purchased the tires from RJ Tires on Grande Oaks Blvd in Estero about 2 year... view mores ago and only had about 4000 miles on them. I took the car back to them, explained the vibration situation and they immediately rebalanced the tires, no questions asked. After road testing the tires, the problem was still there. They rebalanced again with the same results. After discussing with Marcos and the mechanic, it was felt that the problem was in the tires and that they had possibly flat spotted due to setting for a while. Marcos then contacted the tire manufacturer and they replaced all 4 tires for a very nominal charge. I was very pleased in the manner in which Marcos and his staff handled this situation. I had fully expected a run-around due to purchasing the tires 2 years ago - but that didn`t happen. Mr Rick Johnson, you truely do have a good team here at this store. Marcos, Bryan and the others i dealt with certainly seemed to care about the customer. That is definately refreshing in todays business atmosphere. Do what you have to do to keep these employees - they are taking good care of your business.

Friendly Atmosphere and Quality Service

I have been bringing my car in for service at the Estero Rick Johnson for about a year now, and the staff and service has been nothing but superb. The cost is very reasonable and the work is optimal. Honestly taken care of!!!

I want to write this review because it`s the right thing to do. I went into Rick Johnson Auton & Tire for tires, an alignment, and oil change and a few other things. I bought the tires recommended to me and that was that, I thought. As the tires wore in over the next 6 months I became frustrated with them. They just didn`t ride or sound the same, they weren`t as quiet and smooth as they were at first. I called the st... view moreore and was referred to a Supervisor by the name of Mike Watkins. He met with me to look at the tires and drive my car. He said that while the tires were very good tires they weren`t a good match for my car. Without asking, Mike said he would warranty my tires fully and give me a choice of several other brands and different treads from which to choose. I figured on it costing me much more than even the full credit would allow for another set of tires. Wrong!! I chose a set of tires and was only charged the difference in Rick Johnson`s cost for the tires. I wasn`t charged for anything else and was treated to a free nitogen fill in my new tires! great price for tires

I bought 4 tires here for my Toyota. I called around and they had the best price. I also get free tire rotation for life. I`ve been in once because a tire needed balancing and I was getting a vibration in my steering wheel. They took care of it in a timely manner for no charge. The guys were friendly and efficient.

TERRIBLE!!

Rick Johnson in estero takes advantage of students. Their shop is within one mile of Florida Gulf Coast University, so they know their main clientele would be the student population. They intentionally sold me used, BAD tires for a new tire price. I took my car there because my tires were beginning to wobble a bit so naturally, i was worried. I waited for the final word, and the mechanic ALEX G. told me I needed ... view morea wheel alignment and two new tires. I didnt understand why i needed another alignment since I had it done less than six months ago at the time. So I opted to skip the alignment and just purchase the tires. ALEX G`s reaction was immediate disapproval. It was like I went from being a needy person, to a criminal in his eyes. He was short when i asked questions and snippy when i left, like i did something wrong. The next day I noticed a more extreme wobbling when driving, so I decided to take my car to Tires Choice and the gentlemen there, named RALPH WILLIAMS asked how old my tires were. I then explained to him that they were 2 days old.. He laughed and asked again.. I told him that it wasnt a joke, I had just bought them 2 days ago from Rick Johnson. He said that there was no way that those tires were new. He explained that the tires had to be at least 6 months old with at least 5000 miles on them. I was outraged, I asked for my money back at Rick Johnson and they declined. I told them i was going to call the news paper and write as many bad reports as i could, but that doesnt help my $236 that i lost. The moral of the story is Rick Johnson`s company slogan "fair and honest, tell a friend" is nonsense, they are not fair, not honest, and i will tell everyone i know about my experience with this crooked shop. Its companies like this that give auto repair such a bad name. TAKE MY ADVICE AND DRIVE ANOTHER MILE DOWN THE ROAD TO TIRE CHOICE.. THEY WERE MUCH MORE HELPFUL AND NICE. STAY AWAY FROM RICK JOHNSON!!

Rip off and Horrible Service

The staff was rude and the service was terrible. A simple oil change took 4 hours! Not to mention they would add on extras to your bill without your knowledge then when it came time to pay the original price was far gone. Save your time and sanity...go somewhere else!!! I would NOT recommend going to Rick Johnson Auto & Tire.
