My car had an oil leak so I took it to PepBoys. They told me where it was leaking from and at first stated it would cost $500 and change. I dropped off my car and about an hour later they called stated that the repairs would be over $1,200. I told them it`s not possible and I will not pay that amount. The guy put me on hold and when he came back he said they could fix my car for a little over $600. I said fine. ... view more A couple of hours later they called and stated that there was something else that had to be replaced and it would be $250 more, like an idiot, I said ok. Total bill was almost $900.00. Four days later we noticed that my car was still leaking oil! I took it back in today and they said that the leak was coming from another area and that it would cost at least $400 for the part alone. I told them it shouldn`t still be leaking when you did the dye test. I explained to Kevin that they must have misdiagnosed where the leak was coming from in the first place since I keep my car in the garage and the oil spot was still in the same place. He stated that the mechanic assured him that the entire bottom of the car was cleaned off and he had it on videotape as proof. When we asked to see the tape, he said he would call the service manager to see if it was OK then would call us back; that was over three hours ago. When I took it upon myself to call back, to my dismay, Kevin had went home without informing me of a decision. The next guy stated that we didn`t know how cars worked and that oil leaks come from the top down, which is inaccurate. We were told that the service manager advised us to come back on Monday since he was off work. Do yourself a favor and go AAA certified repair shop and avoid this PEP BOYS at all costs!

WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN TO GET SOMETHING FOR MY CAR. THIS FEMALE WHO LOOKED LIKE A BUTCH ASKED ME THE SAME QUESTION ABOUT MY CAR 4 TIMES WHILE SMERKING!
