Maroone Honda Body Shop (Bill)
My name is Jose Cintron,MBA. I went to Maroone Honda of Hollywood recommended by all state insurance. They give me a quote for other repair (bumper cover) and they call enterprise for me. They did a great job on my car and even my repair was more $ than expected, Bill the manager keep his word and I was not charged extra. All state pay for the accident repair and car rental and enterprise wave the damage insurance. I... view more only pay what we agree for the bumper cover. I am so happy and I had a great experience in this situation. Thank to Bill the manager; he is a great business man, excellent customer service and an asset to Maroone. My rating is 5 (great)

Easy deal on car, horrible tactics on everything else
My husband and I made a great internet deal through the "internet department" of Maroone Honda in Hollywood. We approached the sale with no-haggle tactics and got the price we wanted on the car. We were encouraged to come in to sign papers.
That`s when the nightmare began.
As soon as we got to the dealership, the sales and financing staff threw every sleazy dealer tactic at us that I`ve ever heard of, plus a fe... view morew more.
We had done our research and read up on some informative sites, so we had answers for everything. First, they tried to tell us that being self-employed wouldn`t work with Honda, because they were "sticklers" when it came to financing. We responded that our credit score was excellent, and we got iced (waited) for about 20 minutes. Then, they said we didn`t have enough credit. When we pointed out that we had had established credit for over 5 years with a good available credit to debt ratio, they then "realized" they had misread our credit balances, so they`d go back and check interest rates again with that new info. They then came back with a truly horrible offer , longer loan term that we wanted and thousands more down. They gave us the "you`re first time car buyers" routine. We wouldn`t budge, so they came down on the atrocious financing 2 percent and acted like they were doing us a favor. We then asked if they could do our loan term. He said yes, but the APR would be the same. When we said we wouldn`t take it and walked out, the man said "well good luck because you`re not ever going to get a better rate." He didn`t even shake my hand, and my husband had to force him to shake his.
The next morning, my husband received a phone call from a potential lender (we watch our credit reports so these people have to call to verify our identity). The man from this bank was very nice, and though he wasn`t able to give the exact amount we were approved for, he gave us a ballpark, and it was EXACTLY what we knew we could get! Then, I received an e-mail from the sales associate who was "so sorry" about the way things had occurred the night before. Miraculously, the APR had gone down another 2 percent, but it was STILL OVER THE BANK AMOUNT BY 2.0%!!! Straight profit for the dealer. After I let them know that I was onto their game, they became very rude and were suddenly "too busy to talk" because it was the end of the month. We haven`t heard from them since. Also, after we told them no deal, they still hit our credit with multiple inquiries from some very "non-traditional" loan operations. We are going to have to put a freeze on our credit now because we don`t want those checks to turn into full inquiries and drop our score.
I am almost relieved that we didn`t get further in the process, because who knows what else they would have done to conform to the "sleazy" stereotype. We are happy to move on, and glad we didn`t need a car right away, because I can only imagine their "tactics" when they know they have leverage.

Even though this is a dealer, ...
Even though this is a dealer, the service department is great! Plus, they have a shuttle out as far as the Pembroke Lakes Mall.
