I would rate this place 0 stars if I could but unfortunately I have to choose 1. This place should not be in business. I took my car to them in July because my ac was blowing hot air. They were busy and advised it would take about 2/12 hours to get to my car and get to the root cause of issue. I had already told them that there was a shortage somewhere to the ac because that`s what they told me at another place I w... view moreent to before I came to them but they didn`t do AC work there. So they (Affordable AC) offered a quick fix to get AC blowing cold which they advised I would be out in 30 min so I said ok. They did not say this would damage my car or what this fix was. Well they ran a hotwire/speaker wire whatever it was from the electrical unit to the AC. Now my car is in the shop because it caught a fire underneath where the compressor was due to too much power being sent that way. Now my car is in the shop and so far at $1100 in parts and still don`t know how much labor is yet. So I call the owner up to try to resolve issue. Being that at some point I understand I would have probably needed to replace some parts I offered owner to cover 50 % of the damages but he declined he offered to give me $75 dollars back that I spent that day back. Total waste of money the AC blew cold air for less than a month and went out again. I would shut off car and take key out and AC was still running. So now my next step is a complaint with BBB and after that is small claims court and he can pay for everything. DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR CAR, MONEY, AND TIME!!!!

If I could give 10 stars I would!! I cannot say one bad thing about Affordable!! They are polite, friendly, honest, fair, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable. Our whole family uses them and we have recommended them to numerous friends, without regrets. They are a rare find in the world of not-so-credible auto repair shops.

If you go to or have kids at USF, this automotive repair shop is the place to go! My son`s car broke down and they got us a discount tow, and the problem fixed within hours. The price was less than I expected, and VERY fair. I asked them to "go over" the car to make sure nothing else needed repair (this is where they had the opportunity to beat me up with unnecessary stuff) and they told me nothing else ... view moreneeded to be done. Amazingly honest in this day and age. I`ll be a repeat customer if my son`s car needs anything!!!

I was treated like family it was like i had been going there and knew them for years they are my new mechanic and new friends. Carla the lady in the office is the best. She knows her cars. Try them you will not be sorry. You will have some new friends out of the visit.
