Great Sales Force - Internet Friendly
My daughter is in college in the Lakeland area. Her car broke down and the cost to repair it exceeded the value of the car, so we decided to donate it and get her a new vehicle. We are from New Hampshire, and the traveling to Florida at this time just was not a possibility, also as this was a graduation present, we wanted to make most of the arrangements prior to letting her know.
We set our budget and narrowe... view mored our selection to three vehicles. A Chevrolet HHR, Kia Sportage and Hyundai. I went on line, found the local Lakeland dealers for each vehicle, checked out their website and sent in a web request for information.
Within 1 hour, Travis from Michael Holley Chevrolet called me back and we discussed my needs. I explained the situation and gave him my budget. Travis worked to insure that I got the maximum value for our budget. We selected an HHR and started the deal process. Unfortunately, my daughter didn`t like the styling of the HHR, so without skipping a beat, Travis recommended the KIA and came up with a new deal very quickly. The deal was completed entirely by phone and e-mail and my daughter picked up her new car at the dealership. When she arrived, she was treated courtesly and the staff took the time to explain the car completely to her.
In conclusion, Michael Holley Kia & Chevrolet treated a totally Internet based buyer with respect and attention. They were accommodating of my needs and worked hard to find the right vehicle at a fair price. I HIGHLY recommend this dealership and especially Travis Lynes our top notch salesperson.
This review is also posted under Michael Holley KIA as that is the dealership that we purchased the vehicle from.

The absolute worst sales and service in Central Florida
Because of character limitations, I will keep this review brief. If you would like more details, feel free to email me.
After two attempts at contacting Michael Holley Chevrolet online, I called the dealership`s ""Internet Sales Department."" The receptionist took my information and assured me someone would call. The next day (nearly 24 hours later) someone emailed me with a number. I immediately called it an... view mored the sales person advised me he was out of the office and would call me back shortly. I never heard from him again.
I did finally get in touch with a sales person (about a 2005 Pontiac Aztek). He was friendly and knowledgable and invited me to come down and test drive the car. He also apologized for the lack of contact and vowed to stay in touch. I also told him I had to drive a very long way and to please call me if anything came up. Having not heard from him, I rented a car and drove over an hour from Winter Park to Lakeland.
When I arrived, the salesman was paged and he came to help me. We went to the service desk to get the keys and the sales manager said the Aztek had been sold. I informed the sales manager that there must be a mistake; that I had rented a car (cost: approximately $50) and driven over an hour to see this car. Rather than apologize, the sales manager became very curt and abrupt, saying things like, ""Look, I have a right to sell this car whenever I want,"" and ""Maybe someone else could afford to get her sooner.""
When I asked to speak with another level of management, I was directed to a guy who listened to my story. When I told him that I had never had problems getting someone from any other dealership to return my call when I wanted to spend thousands of dollars he said, ""I take personal offense at that."" Again, there was absolutely no offer of even the slightest apology.
