PLEASE EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM BOBBY`S AUTOMOTIVE IN SAN CARLOS. just a heads up. i went in for an alternator and he put in a reconditioned one for 400 bucks. it was a mustang, an 07, meticulously maintained low mileage, and a day later two other things in my car went : the engine started smoking & overheated (coolant leak RIGHT NEXT TO THE ALTERNATOR) and the a/c stopped blowing cold air. amazing how all of this... view more happened ONE DAY after he touched my car. another thing i want to note is that the DAY before I`d had my car checked over completely at carmax because i am looking to get out of my loan and was going to trade and they made me an offer after completely checking everything including the a/c and for coolant leaks, i believe it`s a 150 checkpoint deal at carmax. after taking the car to a REAL mechanic when the car overheated, not going to name names, he did fix the coolant leak and mention it was inches from the alternator where he had to repair the leak. when i contacted bobby`s and explained the situation the secretary got very NASTY well, i wasn`t surprised because i saw the way she looked when we brought the car in, and the only option she offered was to have our attorney contact them? how suspicious is that?! after that she hung up on me. then, the machanic who did all the sabotaging, MARK HILES, called me, a woman, and said `prove it.` i cannot believe this is happening to me, i can`t even afford my car payments and a man like that smiled in my face when i picked up the car and asked about my brother in the airforce, what a scumbag. my brother isn`t fighting as an EOD for pieces of trash like him, risking his life ever day. he clearly thought i had money because of my car that i DON`T OWN and my willingness to get ripped off w/the alternator because i know nothing about cars. i beg of anyone who reads to tell their friends, especially single women because i wouldn`t wish this kind of hell on anyone. now i have had another 500 dollar fixfor the coolant and my ac is out i haven`t even gotten a quote on that yet. i have lost all faith in humanity.
