Reviews:

Great work and great service
I had the best experience with the service and quality of work. Everyone was very helpful as the insurance company I was dealing with was not the most pleasant experience. My car looks great! I highly recommend this shop to anyone that has an import and especially for Audi. They do a great job and there is a reason it may take longer than average. I highly recommend this shop!!

Bad Paint Match
by zman0457 at Citysearch
Took over two weeks for 1/2 inch repair to bumper on 2004 Porsche Carerra. Was called after a week to pick up. Drove 23 miles to be to... view moreld that my car was not ready, and they mixed it up with another one. Waited 10 more days.
Additionally, in the sunlight, the paint is not a great match, which suggests to me that they do not use factory paint.
Pros: Friendly shop
Cons: My experience

In response to scooterism
My name is David Perez, and I am the Director of Operations for Gene Perez Body Repairs. In response to the vehicle taking eight weeks, the repairs were around $15,000. This is a large job, and eight weeks does not sound very unreasonable. Furthermore, after speaking with my GM at our Florida Avenue shop, it appears that you had called him back and apologized for accusing us of damaging your boot cover. For those ... view moreactually reading this, it turns out that the convertible top itself was causing the damage to his boot, not us. What bothers me about these sites is the fact that people will come on and blame us for everything, but yet don`t have the courtesy to come back and retract what they say when they are wrong.

Long timeline for repairs, looks and drives nice, subsequent issues told not their responsiblity
Gene Perez takes a long time to do the body work compared to most body shops. This would not be all that bad if it was fixed correctly the first time. I am having to bring the car back into the body shop and the answer I get is that it will take another week to fix. These folks have had the car for 8 weeks prior for some front end damage. After showing them the damage that appears to be tools laying on the back d... view moreeck of the car or some kind of car pieces I was told that the tool marks were not from Gene Perez and that the conv. top was never down during the repair. When I asked about the greeze that was around it they admitted that that might be from their shop. Then they continue to tell me that they are doing me a favor by getting insurance to pay for the back deck being repaired when in reality it should be Gene Perez cleaning up their own work. Problems will always arise....its how management takes responsiblity and resolves them. In Gene Perez` case this is a lesson they still need to learn.

***Correction*** The boot cover damage was caused by the conv. top being jarred in the auto accident and not aligning correctly when it was closing. I had mentioned to Gene Perez that the top needed to be checked out since it did not close correctly after the accident so I figured it was fixed. When picking the car up for a second time GP told me it was an ""Audi thing"" and they had another car in the shop with the same problem. I had to take it to Reeves Audi to get an answer as to what was going causing the damage. I later called Gene Perez to inform them of what was causing the damage and to appologize. I was going to retract the whole statement but after reading the response from GP Senior Management (Dave) I think I will leave this out there so the consumer can have more facts.
