MADE MY CAR LOOK NEW AGAIN!
On my way north on I-75 just past Gainesville, FL at the beginning of May, 2013, I was hit by a large truck from behind and pushed into the interstate guardrail - part of a major accident causing a total shutdown of the highway. Not being from the area, I had no idea where my insurance company, State Farm, would have my car towed. State Farm told me that Dave Barber`s Paint and Body w... view moreas on the approved/accredited list. So, my faith had to be in a body shop I had never seen more than two hours away from where I live.
I was contacted immediately the afternoon of the accident by the body shop to assure me they would get my vehicle and keep me updated and they wanted to know if I had any questions. They gave me all their information so that I could contact them. Once my vehicle was towed in and the estimate came in, they sent me everything and answered all of my questions - patiently I might add. The girls in the office were patient, courteous and provided consistent excellent customer service - thanks, Rachel and Erica. Dave Barber himself spoke with me on the phone many times to explain to me the status of my car and the parts being ordered, etc. Dave personally answered my questions and explained the process to me.
Fast forward to mid June, 2013 - my car had EXTENSIVE damage/approximately $16k worth - I was told my car was ready for pick up. I scheduled a convenient day to take the drive to Gainesville and fetch my vehicle. The front office girls, Rachel and Erica, greeted me kindly in the office and Dave Barber walked out to greet me right away. He grabbed my key to pull the car around... it really seemed hard to believe the difference in my car from the last time I saw it on a tow truck. Not only had it been cleaned and washed, but it was shiny and looked much like the day I bought it new back in 2010. Dave kindly took the time to walk the entire vehicle with me and explain what had been done to my car. We opened the back so he could show me everything. He offered to ride with me and test drive it. During my drive, I was certainly nervous that the car wouldn`t feel right or be in alignment. The more I drove it the more it felt like the same car. Dave directed me around the streets of Gainesville and probably would have let me drive on and on and on for an hour if I wanted to. Dave wanted to make sure I was HAPPY with my car before returning to the body shop. He even showed me the equipment they used to make sure the work was done with cutting edge laser technology and precision.
ONLY when I was completely satisfied with the work and drive of my car did I finally walk back into the shop`s front office to pay my deductible and receive a full printout of all the work done to the car. In fact, Dave told me they stand behind their work just as State Farm will too. If I had any questions or concerns, I was welcome to come back or call Dave. Dave also warned me about how to wash the car over the next couple of months past a paint job. I even received a kind email the next business day to check on my satisfaction with the car and ask if everything was still okay.
I have to say - there is nothing like knowing someone really paid attention to detail and took care of your car! Not only is it a major investment, but it`s a necessity in my career and daily life and was absolutely important to me. It was a pleasant surprise to come across a body shop with such great customer service. Rachel, Erica and Dave Barber were all great to work with - responsive, helpful, patient, understanding and honest. Thank you Dave Barber`s Paint and Body! I would highly recommend this business to anyone in need of such services.
