I bought a leased Jetta Wagon with 15,000 miles on it in 2004 from VW of Old Saybrook. The car had a hole in it, that because of being garaged for the first two years, wasn`t discovered until 2006. When I told the mechanic that there was a leak, he hit a rubber tube in the door, and said that was where the water was coming from. I told him that the floor was soaking wet, and that there was a leak. He didn`t look ... view morefor it. The car was not driven for a few months, and when I opened the door, there was two inches of water in it and more in the back. The car was towed to a different service station (I had already had it with VW of Old Saybrook). It cost almost $3,000 to fix the car, and they are the ones who found the hole. VW informed me that the car was no longer under warranty, and they couldn`t do anything for me. If the mechanic had listened to me when I first brought it in, I could have avoided paying the $3,000. I asked them if they stand by their product, and was told yes. I asked them if they stand by their service department, and again was told yes. This is not true. I will never buy another VW (this was our third VW), and I would recomment that anyone looking should look elsewhere. Mary
