One of the true honest places left in NH

Had my vehicle to numerous facilities in New Haven. Went in and spoke to Lou, he was very polite and attentive to my concerns. He offered to look at my car. Himself and the mechanic Howie brought me out to my car to show me what was happening. A simple repair that people were charging me hundreds for only cost me a third of all my previous estimates. He epxolained what it was how it worked and why it failed. He also ... view morerecommended services they could perform to lessen the frequency of this failure. And invited me to return for my periodic maintenances in which they would keep an eye on the issues most common to my vehicle. And to think Midas was only brakes and exhaust. The owner should be very proud in having trustworthy employees from its manager to there mechanics. Truely a gem in the rough.

Beware of Midas on Whalley Ave. in New Haven

I took my car in for an oil change, and while servicing it they offered to also replace my dirty air filter too. So like a dummy I gave them the OK. Wanna know how much they charged me for it? $43. When I called them back the next day to find out what kind of air filter, they told me it was a Purolator or Fram. I checked the prices on these, and they normally go for $10 or $15.
