On 05-24-2013 my daughters 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse died in the left lane of I-95 in Norwalk Ct. during rush hour. She called Triple A to tow the vehicle to Firestone in Milford. The Tow driver from IN-Tune Automotive from Norwalk arrived and told her, I can fix this today. . I (her father) called Tony from In-Tune Automotive and was told the timing belt broke and would have destroyed the motor when it did. He ... view morestated that work on the head to repair the valves would be over 2,500.oo alone. After several phone calls he felt another motor was the answer. I called Casey from the Milford Connecticut Firestone where the car is usually serviced. Casey patiently explained to me what could happen when a timing belt breaks and what the worse case price for a repair would be. I realized I was getting scammed big time at In-Tune Automotive of Norwalk Ct.. To get the car to Milford I had to again call Triple A to have In-Tune Automotive again tow the vehicle for Triple A and get paid for another tow to get the car to Milford AFTER they wanted a 89.00 diagnostic charge from me before they would move the car. So In-Tune Automotive was paid twice from Triple A, from one call, and my payment for them briefly having the car on their lot! Shortly after Casey received the car at the Milford Firestone he found that the belt had slipped and was not broken and when a new belt was put on the car it purred like a kitten. I rarely write reviews but I feel Casey (and the crew at the Milford CT. Firestone) deserve a lot of praise for his patience, knowledge and his willingness to help in this situation. He is an asset to the operation in Milford. I went from being scammed in Norwalk from In-Tune Automotive; to getting great service from Casey at the Milford Firestone. And as a bonus the car was ready early the next day.!!!

I recently had work done to my car at Firestone of Milford,CT & paid a ridicuolously high amount. I had brake work done on my car which resulted in a $1200 bill! I felt I needed to get the word out to others to stay away from this place. Unless you don`t mind getting ripped off, Firestone of Milford is a place to steer clear of. I used one of their coupons to get a savings of $25. Well, they deducted the $25 c... view moreoupon in the itemization of the work & supplies area of the invoice but at the bottom of the invoice they went right ahead & added the $25 back for themselves & noted it as "shop supplies". When I confronted the service manager about what these "shop supplies" were, he went on to say that these items consisted of rags, cleaners & etc. Would have been nice if they had offered me the option of bringing my own rags & cleaners for them to use if it meant me saving the extra $25. I certainly would have been willing to do that. Instead they just went right ahead & added it in & also justified it by saying that the higher one`s repair bill is, the more they charge for "shop supplies". Totally unfair because the least they can do is give some breaks to people who are stuck having to pay more. Stay away from Firestone of Milford. I certainly won`t be bringing my car back there & this is coming from somebody that was a long time & repeat customer. They finally got too greedy for their own good.
