Rj shore is great
Rj shore is courteous and professional. When all other businesses refused to help someone in Branford who needed a tow to Bridgeport, Rj shore is the only one who was willing and wasn`t going to try and overcharge just because it is a high risk. The driver came out at 2 am and was pleasant. When ever other local business not only refused but were rude. ( that was my husband helping a customer who was broken down whil... view moree he was at work). On that same day earlier, I was locked out of my car at Foote park. Using AAA, they sent RJ shore, they came within the approximate time giving, got us in our car, and made sure it started. My only regret, I did not get a chance to thank him!

I drove my truck off the road....
I drove my truck off the road. Called AAA and they sent me Shore Automotive. Aware truck was off the road they arrived with a flatbed which of course was useless. He sat around while a tow truck with a winch showed up. That truck took it away yet they charged me for both trucks and for the first truck to sit around. The total was $383.13.
I had smashed my face into the steering wheel and was sore from the seat belt.... view more I hobbled in to the office the next day barely able to speak. I thought it was $380 even by misunderstanding. When I gave them the cash they asked for the $3.13. I didnt have it. I would have had to go home and get more cash and bring it back. I asked if I could bring it by tomorrow because I was very sore and not comfortable to drive. They said no, they needed the cash today in order to release my truck and reminded me I had until 6 pm or they would keep the truck locked in the lot and charge me another $24. storage fee. I had my step dad drive the $3. and .13 to the shop. Then they released my truck. I realize I owed the money but that was poor customer service to nickel and dime the tow job and nickel and dime for a mere $3,13 from an injured customer when they had $380 in their hands. I would have paid it or had someone drive it out to them. They were rude, money hungry and very short. I would specifically ask AAA not to send them if there should ever be another time in need for a tow.

Stay away if you can. Two part...
Stay away if you can. Two parts of this review: First, I had broken down on I-95 and AAA sent a truck from RJ Shore. I was just travelling through. They were great in getting Enterprise out to get me a rental car, and they worked hard to get my car repaired in time for me to pick it up on the return leg of my trip. Unfortunately, when I got home and took my car in for state inspection less than two months (and < 2... view morek miles) later, my normal shop discovered the used rear differential RJ Shore had sold me was leaking and defective. I immediately called RJ Shore to try and work out getting a replacement part from them, since supposedly all repairs carry a 12 month or 12,000 mile warranty. Well, after three months of calls, they finally decided that the party they sold me only had a 30 day warranty. The first few calls, they assured me it had a year warranty, and would simply contact their parts vendor for a replacement. I`d call back every week or so, just to learn the part their vendor had shipped them was "bad" (or they were waiting on the tracking number, or a number of other delaying tactics). Throughout the process, I was frustrated at the lack of updates and utter failure of the RJ Shore team to call back when promised. And now they are refusing to stand behind their work and the part they sold me. So if you have a choice in the matter, I recommend taking your business elsewhere.
